Redstart Roasters is one of those coffee shops that not only provides a good product and service, but also has a unique mission that they strive to achieve.
One of the best things about this place isn’t their orchid latte (although it is absolutely delicious), but their dedication to being a bird friendly cafe and roaster.
The service is fantastic and quick. Clemmy, a partner here, was welcoming and knowledgeable about the cafe, it’s offerings, and the goal of the company. He provided me with tons of details on the flavor profiles of their coffees and it was nice to learn that they ethically source everything.

If you’re looking for a delicious spot with a great mission look no further!

First time visiting and I want to go back! They focus on environmentally conscious coffee that protect native bird habitats, which is awesome. Plus the coffee was delicious. I had a cappuccino and pour over, the pour over was very nice and the notes were as described. Also picked up a bag of coffee for home!

The space is also beautiful. Love the vibe in there and casual seating.

Everyone on Reddit talked about this place and it’s worth a visit. Their latte has a strong coffee yet smooth aroma. This place has ample seating and plugs. It’s very spacious for gatherings as well and I love their decor. They also sell freshly roasted coffee beans on the side. They have their own parking lot and it was barely busy in the morning.

They were at donut fest. The African American man who was giving out samples was soooooooo nasty and rude to me and my daughter. We’re African American too and he acted like he didn’t want to serve us and ignored us to give white people samples. The only reason I didn’t freak out is because I was with my child and instead of going low with his self hatred I’d rather go high….. and write a review. So you guys can know what type of trifling self hating time and vibes is serving you coffee.

I love this place, its bird friendly coffee, and its whole aesthetic.

My sole beef is that the drop from the curb to the street when exiting the parking lot nearly always causes me to spill a little bit of coffee out of the wide mouth cold brew cup. I guess that's on me to develop that skillful balance!

Love this spot- orchid oatmilk latte was delish. giant windows- lots of natural light and lovely plants. but I wish there was more seating! Lots of people on laptops but not many spots for 2 people to actually talk to each other without feeling like everyone can hear you. There is room to expand and I wish they would!!

It's a big place with lots of seating room. The menu has the basics with a couple specialty lattes. The coffee is really good and the conservatory business model makes me feel good.

the staff is incredibly rude and pretentious (for no reason - the coffee isn’t good). i have truly never had such a bad experience at a coffee shop in my life. i’d suggest going to commonplace or de fer. the staff is quite friendly and the coffee is much better.

Beautiful place, nice music and calm atmosphere. Loved hanging out there. Sadly, the cappuccino was tasteless and had no latte art.

This is currently my most favorite cafe in Pittsburgh.
The espresso-based drinks are flavorful.
The ambience is fresh! Very airy and lots of natural lighting. Many charging points, and different kinds of places to sit (table, couch, chair).
