I live in nyc so I have a pretty high standard for coffee, but when I come back home to visit my mom we always go exploring for new shops in Pittsburgh. KLVN has been my absolute favorite so far - amazing coffee, really great space, and I love the roastery right inside the seating area. It feels exactly like one of the coffee shops I love in Brooklyn. Will 10000% be returning

Really nice baristas and very tasty with a good vibe. Love the blm signs in the window.

This place has a great vibe! It feels super cozy and welcoming and the drink I ordered was absolutely heavenly! The Matcha Latte is amazing and you should get it!
The only complaint I have is how loud it was. The music is just a little too loud for my liking.

Fun environment to sit in. They opened the garage doors when the weather was nice. Very busy and a bit hard to find a table.

The coffee is so good. I’ll definitely stop at their place and get coffee anytime I can.
Highly recommended.

They make the best dandelion hot chocolate. I've been here a couple times. I am pleased to know they offer consistency in their flavor profiles.

Comfortable atmosphere (with lots of plants), wonderful service, delicious maple latte made with oat milk! And only a 5 min drive from my work. What else could you ask for?

Great atmosphere, solid coffee and breakfast was delicious.

The coffee is flat-out excellent. My latte was very similar to the Blue Bottle Hayes Valley blend I would have every morning when I lived in San Francisco – chocolatey but complex and the milk temperature was perfect. Unfortunately, KLVN also shares some of the pretentious attitude that Blue Bottle had in its early days, not to mention many other coffee houses that take themselves way too seriously. I was in town visiting my family. We're generally a playful "old style Pittsburgh" bunch and we like to crack jokes and bring smiles to people's faces. I had my niece with me and our efforts were, of course, met with cold blank stares throughout.
Now, I loooove great coffee. Therefore, I'm willing to ignore and/or endure annoying navel-gazing hipsters in pursuit of my addiction. So, I only knocked off one star for atmospherics. Otherwise, it would have been a solid five stars for outstanding coffee. Perhaps I should do more self-examination to determine why it is I gravitate towards these pretentious coffees? Or, maybe not. ;-)
