Hot chocolate options were plenty and it was pretty good, so 4 stars for that part I guess. But 1 star for the rest. Employee was less than pleasant. Seemed put out to have to wait on us and even worse to even talk to us about possible lunch options in the area. Simple abrupt answers like "no" to lunch options, and "it's a diner" when asking if he'd ever been to the place up the street. Um yeah, we kind of kind of gathered that much on our own. Whatever.

Oh and make sure you bring cash. Found out too late that it's a cash-only joint. Would have been nice to know that up front. In hindsight, there were no "we accept visa/mc/amex" kinds of stickers on the the windows so that's on me I guess. But what do you know, there is an ATM right there on site! So for a $2.75 withdrawal fee that the owner charges, I was able to pay $12.75 for my 2 hot chocolates instead of an already pricey $10.

Oh well, those are the breaks sometimes when venturing outside the "norms".

Small quiet shop, great aroma. Had a good time with friends. Loved the decorations.

Ordered a cappuccino and it was awful. The man behind the counter was rude and was speaking loudly on his Bluetooth attached to his ear. Didn't even greet us when we walked in. I asked about a latte and he told me it was a frozen frappe....he obviously was confused about the menu. The cappuccino I ordered was awful and it should have been $3.85 not $4.50 that he charged. The other person who was with me ordered a mocha and it tasted just like a cocoa packet with stale coffee mixed in. If I could give zero stars I would.

I would pay six dollars for a good whoopie pie. I wouldn't again pay for one from a dude who wears no gloves and gets stuff all over the otherwise mediocre pie. Nor would I pay 5 dollars for a medium hot chocolate again. As well, he doesn't take cash so you have to use the $3 ATM. If you like the desperately trying to be cute coffeeshop then go here, otherwise take your money to a better establishment

Best quality coffee in Pittsburgh. Although it may not look as appealing and “aesthetic” as other coffee places. This is by far the best coffee and best cafe staff in the city!! I will go here over any of the other coffee shops in the 412!

I've been to alot of coffee shops, and this one makes the best coffee in my opinion. The White Chocolate Mocha there is the best in Pittsburgh

Place is cash only, but the owner, Todd, was the most kind person we ever met! We didn’t have cash but he said all four coffees we got were on him, highly recommend.

My mother loves bone-dry cappuccinos, but not many baristas can pull it off. I can't even count how many times we've left a cafe and she's complained about it on the way home. This time, she couldn't stop raving. Said it was made perfectly and couldn't wait to visit Pittsburgh to have another one.

I’m a pretty friendly guy, but the guy that runs this place is super unfriendly about the whole experience. I tried to be nice but now I won’t even look at him as I pass his shops. He was rude to my girlfriend and me on different occasions.

Wrong change was given back. Owner had an 11 am appointment so had to unkindly rush us out of there. He was also pretty loud in there talking on phone and to friends that came in. ( The shop has a phone but the number advertised is not in service. )

There's many other coffee shops out there with better service & coffee.
