We really enjoy our time here. The coffee taste good but the more important thing is for me they are very kid friendly. My kids broke or spilled something every time we went there and the staff are so nice about it. They do not make you feel bad. They just can provide high chairs.

Wonderful coffee shop.

This place is fantastic. Not only do they serve excellent coffee, espresso, and other drinks, but they have one of the best selections of food and pastries of any cafe in Pittsburgh, and the ambiance is very pleasant too. My only complaint is that they're so popular it's sometimes hard to get a table! The staff are also friendly and highly competent.

They make a great Irish coffee, but super busy, with limited seating.

This is one of my favorite coffee shops. The ambience is great: it is well lit, spacious and nicely decorated. Nice latte art too.

There are a lot of coffee shops in The Strip, but De Fer is my hands down favorite. Excellent espresso drinks and snacks. The staff are genuinely some of the nicest people on the planet.

Yesterday I had purchased a very very sad cappuccino from a neighboring coffee shop- came into De Fer oooking for a re-do & dudes hooked me up with an incredible cappuccino. Free of charge. It was so sweet. Also a nice gesture to kind of support the other coffee shop, which shall remain unnamed, it was like they were making up for their shortcoming in a very humble way. De Fer is the best! Should have stopped there first, because I know better. Thanks guys! You made my day!

Coffee has great body to it.
I had a light roast, and it was full body, no watering down.
The staff are quick, kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. Seriously. And its family owned and operated. They help out in the community when they can as a business.
Anyone with dietary restrictions can come here and get excellent food for a price that I was shocked to see so reasonable.
They got a circle of Goat Cheese for 11 $ that would cost 20$ at a grocery store.
Just go check it out! Even the parking isnt hard!!

A nice cozy place to have a snack, relax and hang out, with a limited but very tasty sandwich selection. Sadly, the coffee could not hold up to its billing. The taste of the brew is quite average, on par with the instant variety found in big box stores. Ordered drip coffee and cappuccino- both disappointingly fell flat, especially the latter, which had no trace of the espresso robustness or aroma, a waste of a pairing to the nicely done milk foam. The baristas seem to know what they are doing, but may not have been provided with the best beans to work with. Should be a easy fix to get to 5 stars.

Great drinks and chill vibes. Still very cozy and quiet even when it's packed inside. Courteous staff. A solid selection of products, coffee, and pickles as well!
