Just found this place. Gorgeous outdoor seating area. Comfy, warm interior. Beautiful espresso machine. Friendly barista made one of the best Lattes I have ever had. Will definitely be back!

Love this coffee!! The vibe of the place is off the chain and the staff talks to you like a real person. Pup friendly from what I can tell and also there is ample parking on the street. Love the vibrant feel and the fact that they are off the main drag for privacy!

Husband and I went here and we both had small lattes. We paid just under $10 for our drinks. We decided to drink them in the store so we could enjoy the very nice atmosphere. The smalls were served in decently-sized glass coffee mugs with pretty designs made from the whipped topping. The menu wasn't very thorough; it was vague as to what was available unless you were ordering tea. The lattes were good, but not the greatest we have ever had. But we did enjoy ourselves and our drinks.

I live in the Southside and frequent this coffee shop whenever humanly possible. The coffee is perfect, every single time. There isn't a large selection of desserts or sandwiches, but what they do have is tasty and fresh. The atmosphere is my favorite. Even though the place is only a few years old, it has the look and feel of a neighborhood coffee shop that has been here for decades, yet it is modern at the same time. It is hard to achieve such balance, but they have. The music is always a mix of hip, smooth, soulful, jazzy, or sometimes classical music which is nice. It is a more quiet vibe coffee shop and isn't a place for small and/or noisy children...another thing I like about it.

I live in Seattle and was visiting Pittsburgh for the weekend. I wanted a comfortable coffee shop to hang out and do some reading. I found Big Dog on a google search, and in my opinion the vibe and the quality of the coffee is up there with the best of anything I’m used to back home! The decor and ambience give it an upscale college town feel. Not what I’d expect in gritty blue-collar Pittsburgh and that’s a good thing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a cool outdoor patio and beautiful art on the walls. If you want good coffee and to be surrounded by intelligent, nice people, away from the brutish bros, this is your place.

An interesting place thats for sure! A small and quaint coffee shop! It was rather expensive for a cold brew coffee made with almond milk and sugar free vanilla (medium size was 6$) and did not taste quite right. Rated 4 stars for the simple fact that their baked goods section looked phenomenal

Tried this new place with my friend and I loved it!!! Such a cozy area and close to everything in the south side. I had the honey iced latte highly recommended. Also the salted Carmel blondie was awesome. I will be back again

This was the best cup of coffee I've had. Nice and friendly staff! I'm not in the area often but when I am, I will be getting coffee from here

Chai latte very good here, as well as the chocolate chip cookie!

Always walked by Big Dog coffee when I was in the South Side but never went in. Finally stopped by today and was blown away! Beautiful interior - very warm and welcoming. The place is also incredibly clean (even the bathrooms!) and the employees were nice. Had the best macchiato of my life; it was even better than the espresso I had in Italy. Will definitely come back here again!
