Big Dog Coffee

Great local coffee shop with an inviting flair that will keep welcoming back its patrons.

Some of the people who work here seem absolutely miserable. The cold brew is always over diluted so ask for more concentrate when ordering just so you’re getting your money’s worth. Drink quality is inconsistent but ambiance is good. This place is just near my house but ironically it’s usually a last resort, unfortunately ☹️

When we travel, we always try and search for a locally owned and operated coffee shop. Yesterday we came across Big Dog Coffee. It’s tucked away on a really cool street, but once inside it had a really cool vibe. Not sure if I was dealing with the owners, but they were very nice and made a great almond milk honey latte. They have some really awesome artwork from a local artist displayed there. I don’t think there was an open seat in there when we stopped by. A must stop for coffee.

Older blonde barista is incredibly rude and openly makes fun of customers for no apparent reason. Been coming here for years for the decent coffee, dog friendliness, and the great owner (and mostly friendly baristas) but getting tired of dealing with an overgrown high school bully who’s going to make fun of me and my company among her co workers for…… buying a coffee? Dressing or talking a certain way? Who knows. I can’t fathom how miserable of a person you must be to do this repeatedly and openly. Hopefully something changes, but until then I’ll go elsewhere.

Big Dogs has been one of my two go to coffee shops over the years. The two issues I have is that they are 25% more expensive than my other spot (dont feel like I should have to spend almost $7 for a latte) and they aren't super consistent. I get the same latte every time but they can be a bit different depending on who's making it. Other than that I have nothing but good things to say about Big Dogs.

Always one of the friendliest places with the best coffee! Every shift, my partners know we’re going to Big Dog at the very top of the shift!!

My favorite coffee shop in the city. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Big Dog Coffee offers a great studying environment and very good coffee. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. All the food I have tried so far from them has been very good. I have no complaints. I recommend their mocha's and latte's as they have a great balance of subtle sweetness and caffeine.

I got an oat milk latte which wasn’t that great. You could barely taste the espresso. It could have been the brand of milk they used, but I’ve gotten that drink from other places around the city and they’ve all been much better. As other people have said the service was subpar too, and the employees were a bit rude.

The drinks, the atmosphere, and the sentiment behind this dog friendly cafe are all outstanding. Both the coffees and the teas taste excellent, as well as the small baked goods available to purchase (I had the lemon poppy seed bread and it was delicious). Both the inside and outside areas are beautifully arranged and are therefore great settings for instagram pictures, dates, or even long hours of studying. A must if you're in the area and in need of refreshments.
