Small hidden speciality coffee. Excellent coffee beans quality. Very skilled barista. My number one coffee in Philadelphia so far. Hopefully they will have a bigger space, more comfortable seatings area very soon, and their loyalty card !
Serene on a Friday morning. The coffee monger was cheerful and polite. Creativity shines through their specials! This morning featured blueberry preserves and tonic water, and mint. If you’re seeking delicately brewed coffee and espresso with a focus on method, quality, and simplicity, they’re worth the trip.
Note that seating is very limited, so large parties are not recommended.
Persimmon is a lovely space to go drink delicious coffee and get to know some amazing, creative folks in Fishtown. The owners, Kai & Sawyer, are always behind the bar greeting you with a smile. They make the space warm, welcoming, and have created a community in their corner of Girard. The coffee is spectacular on its own, but they also make some stellar barista signatures that never fail to impress not to mention a great selection of teas.
Wonderful experience from the space, friendly faces & perfectly prepared matcha. An excellent space to slip into and take a few minutes to re-center for the day!
Probably one of the best coffee spots I’ve been to. Besides having delicious coffee and amazing pastries, it’s beautiful and feels like a space you inherently want to be in. I highly recommend going here if you want amazing coffee, impeccable service and maybe a croissant that looks more like a piece of art than a tasty treat
One of the best coffee shops in Philly. Kai and Sawyer are passionate about their craft. They’ve created a zen-like ambiance balanced with unique seasonal drinks. However, the key is the quality and consistency of their espresso pulls. It takes a lot of time, expertise and craftsmanship to master this skill. You have to balance the right temperature, grind size, technique, and time to pour. Each coffee bean has their own unique method to extract its flavor in the right way. Both Kai and Sawyer are able to get the best of their coffee beans, every time. As a result, I highly recommend Persimmon.
Great little cafe for a nice quality cup of coffee to get you through your day. This isn’t an ordinary, massive cafe where you sit down to do your work. It’s a place to grab a coffee and go about your way or sit to briefly chat with your friends or staff. Both staff members were super kind and engaging to make me feel welcomed. I thoroughly enjoyed the vibe. Lattee art was also beautiful but forgot to take a picture. Love the new addition to the neighborhood. Definitely recommend!
So lucky to have this gem of a coffee shop in our neighborhood. The coffee is always so smooth and perfect, consistently superb! Normally I’m a simple cappuccino person but just tried the spring seasonal drink and what a treat! Decor is inviting, gorgeous plants and ceramics. They are always so warm & welcoming, it’s truly a pleasure to get coffee from Persimmon!

Absolutely beautiful space, with great people running it. Looking forward to spending a lot of time here.
I recommend ordering their season drink (my pictures are of the Cloud Dancer).
