coffee is so good. We came back 3 times in a roll to try different drinks. I particularly like Latte with oat milk. it brings out both bitterness and sweetness at the same time. I thought adding oat milk would have a strange taste but no, the qualities of their selections are splendid. Oat milk plays a quiet role behind the scene but there is a gentle oat taste when you swallow latte. It balanced all flavors and blended to its own character. so good, I will for sure visit again if I travel to Philly. ❤️

Popped in here to try Elixr’s mocha. Such a cute space. Coffee smelled delightful. Really great frothiness and good balance of chocolate. Recommend getting it “for here” and enjoying your coffee and the space!

My niece and I were once again trying out a Philly café this week. At her suggestion, we tried Elixir Coffee Roasters. It just happens to be the coffee served at Brown Dog Cafe in Audubon, New Jersey.
Elixir Coffee Roasters has four regional cafés in center city Philadelphia. We went to the Sydham Street location. According to their website, they “specialize in lighter-roasted unique and exquisite coffees” and I found this to be 100% true.
I had my first “hand-poured” coffee and wow, just wow. I can’t wait to have another. It truly matters how coffee is brewed.
My niece got a specialty coffee, Strawberry Oatmeal Latte/Matcha Latte iced. She said it was very good.
The service was great. It got a little busy and there was some mild confusion on my order, but the staff made up for it promptly and with a free drink coupon - which was not necessary as mix-ups happen, but impressive regardless.
Another thing we noticed about this café is their attention to small details that bring an extra smile to their patron’s day (positive vibes coffee sleeves, super tall bendy straws, etc)
Without a doubt, this was a good experience, and we will be back. If you can’t make it to one of their locations in Philly, you can try their coffee at The Brown Dog Café. I’m sure other cafés serve their coffee, so keep a look out for the Elixir brand.

The coffee they serve here is fantastic! I bought two bags of coffee beans and you get a free drink with each coffee bag. I got a decaf latte with vanilla syrup and it was fantastic! The coffee had a good flavor depth. My friend got the strawberry matcha latte and it was pretty good too!

I’m a coffee lover. That said, it’s getting really expensive to buy fresh roasted beans. The average price for 12 ounces, (which used to be a pound by the way..) is $18-$22 plus shipping fee! Not only that but, finding a reasonably close place to buy them is mostly difficult. I’m always searching online in vain for a bargain. Then I found Elixr. Located just north of center city Philadelphia. They do free shipping! Not only that but they have a great deal for three bags for $47.00! Their beans are delicious, dated, only a couple of days old, and they have a good variety. They also are speedy, I get my coffee within two days, and it’s consistent. My favorite espresso bean is “Beekeepers.” Give them a shot if you’re like me, tired of paying too much!

A very good coffee place without any sign outside. The coffee shop looks cozy and stylish. Cortado was extremely great!!

IMO, the best roaster in the mid-Atlantic and probably in my top 10 overall and top 3 for espresso. Buy a bag it’s worth it, you’ll also get a free drink with the bag. Cool space and ultra bonus points for the barista that drew Monkey D Luffy on one of their cups!!

The coffee was okay, staff was super nice. This is an old cafe with rustic look, I can recommend this to people looking for a cup of coffee and change of place. Not the most amazing coffee I had but definitely good. The pace was clean however not a lot of space for seating people on a busy day. Good place to work though.

Being a lover of cafe culture, this cafe is hands down one of the best in Philadelphia. I am consistently impressed by their drink quality, simple yet innovative ideas, as well as the visually appealing way their drinks are displayed. Truly outstanding tea and phenomenal coffee/espresso. Additionally, their pastries are so good. I recommend the cinnamon coffee roll and almond croissant.
The true stars are their amazing staff - an eclectic mix of incredibly kind humans that brighten your day simply through friendly interaction and great service. It’s the vibe you want to feel when stopping by a cafe before work, shopping in center city, meeting with friends, or working remotely. I truly wish I knew more of their names, but huge appreciation to Steve and to the other members of the Elixr staff.
Elixr Cafe is truly 5 stars!
