Great cup of coffee. Calm, quiet , quaint. Friendly staff. Beautiful painting and murals. Very supportive to local authors and artists. The staff kind of gave me a wierd vibe though. I was wearing just normal clothes and I kept getting this look like I was some homeless dude...and I was assured this was the case by the cashier's response to me coming to the register...the last person she said...what may I get for you sir..when I get to the register...can I help you with something and this look of question as to why I'm here. I ordered a oat milk chai with caramel. It was very good. But again product does not bring people back as much as patronage so I will not be returning.

It gives off a hipsterish vibe. When they're making pour over coffee the line takes a while if there's only one person working. They put the menu in the middle table when you walk in so you can read that while waiting. There's a nice brick room attached on the side as well, a great spot to study.

I've quickly become a regular here. The coffee is great, staff are friendly, and offers a welcoming environment. I highly recommend!

We stopped by Ember + Forge for a quick cup of coffee on way out of town after a weekend visit. It was clean and bright and artful, and bustling with happy customers.
The latte I had was great, and their care for the craft was clear, but it was all almost (is this weird to say?) overshadowed by the staff's obvious love for their regular patrons and community pride. It was a great last stop to make, and left a positive enduring impression of Erie that I will carry with me until my next visit.

I live and work nearby, and while I'm not a frequent coffee drinker, I appreciate a good cup every now and again. The atmosphere here is welcoming and laid back, so it isn't a hard decision to spend the extra time waiting for a pourover or french press.
Pro tip: split a large french press with a friend for $3.50 - it ends up being the equivalent of about 2 large coffees.
Edit: they increased the large french press to $5. Still a good deal.

Generous portions, nice environment, friendly staff, and plenty of outlets. Great coffee selection too! Would’ve appreciated an oat milk option but other than that no complaints!

Amazing coffee! The staff is friendly and informative.

Coffee was fine. The space only has seating for about 12 people since they only have couches or large tables.

Such a lovely spot! In a converted historical building, woman and locally owned, which is just fabulous. Near the art museum, and there are periodic art displays! The smoothies are absolutely stunning.

coming from a small town in ohio where i don’t have really any places like this close to me, it was hard to keep myself out of here. stayed at eerie for the weekend and stopped by here the morning before leaving, and i absolutely loved it, while it wasn’t a setting i was entirely used to, i grew fond of it very quickly and the baristas were very patient with me and my brother taking admittedly a little too long to order, and the coffee was absolutely amazing. if i lived closer, i would be here every day if i could. it was also very refreshing to see a local business showing support for the lgbtq community, that’s not something you see a lot of where i’m from, keep it up y’all :)
