Favorite roasts are Ambler Local for coffee and their Espresso roast for my espresso machine. Delicious, fresh, locally roasted coffee beans. Have stopped at their roasting facility a handful of times on the weekends and always found a nice selection of brews to taste. Happy to support this local roaster with my business.

It's not hard to find espresso in most towns, but it is rare to find a town with an espresso shop producing the high quality delightful flavor of Wake coffee Roasters. The beans are freshly roasted onsite, and they have the proper equipment and expertise to generate first rate espresso with that spicy pop that dazzles these palette. The Ethiopian Yirgacheffe is the best beam today. They have an alternate central American bean also, which is delightful... but not quite as perfect as the Ethiopian.

Enjoy it, I will definitely return when I'm back in town.

Delicious coffee, beautiful atmosphere (will a really cute outdoor seating area) and friendly service. The food was also very good. Would highly recommend and will return 😊

Great coffee and food! I buy their coffee for my French press at home and it is great. The egg sandwiches are addicting - I want them every day. Everyone is so nice. Love this place!

Very nice spot. Nice outdoor seating, but limited. Food & beverages are good. However, it is expensive for simple sandwiches and snacks etc.

Wake in Ambler, PA has its share of challenges. From other coffee shops in the area (Abyss being the closest example) to other breakfast places in the Ambler downtown strip, it has to be top-notch if it hopes to beat the locale.

It does a lot of good, but some just so-so things and even some bad things and I am here to give you the Pros and Cons!

Pros: Everything at Wake in the two separate taste tests have been fresh. Fresh ingredients are what the company strives for and you can tell from the orange juice served to the coffee beans.

The So-So: Their food sometimes are not served seasoned properly. Getting an avocado spread on toast without the avocado having being salt and pepper'd is weird at best, and eliminates the pop from the fresh avocado and makes it a mushy bland mess to hope for the relish to maintain it's flavor. If the toast is the biggest cost item on the menu, I want to be wow'd by it.

Their orange juice, while tasty and fresh, is Five dollars for about a cup and a half of juice if you were to measure the juice. No I am not exaggerating, and this equates to about 3 oranges.

Their menu, while offering many drink choices really offer very little in the respect of food. I am surprised, since there are plenty of things that can be made super fast that ultimately could be considered for a high revenue/low investment based on ingredients they already stock.

The Bads: Their customer service is on the ropes. As you have seen by some reviews, they need help with some of the basics with customer service. With no one else to service, I wasn't told to bring a number to my table, and wasn't given a straw for my tea. It is little things that will leave lasting impressions to customers and reviewers alike.

If Wake is able to amp up their customer service, consider more food and seasoning for their menu, then this place will be a 5. For now, they are struggling to do their best, and it shows in a positive way. Hopefully they have everything together by the summer and I can re-evaluate my expectations of them.

Had a blueberry muffin. It was delicious! Was in and out in less than five minutes. Loving the outdoor seating too! My fiancée said It was one of the best chocolate glazed doughnut she ever had!

I want to love them... I buy my beans locally roasted always. I appreciate the variety of roasts I've found and that they print the roast date on the package. I picked up a bag of Papua New Guinea from weavers way in Ambler. It's described as medium roast with more of cocoa, brown sugar, and maple syrup. Right up my alley! But the beans were extremely dark, and some were burnt. This isn't my preferred. I'm not sure if the beans were burnt by accident or I just mistakenly chose this roast? Just was not a happy cup of coffee for me.

The friendliest, most knowledgeable, and helpful staff. The coffee is roasted right in Ambler with beans from around the world. Jean's roasts offer a variety to satisfy every coffee lover from the subtle to the bold and there's decaf too. Loch Linden is a must try. Stop by their roasting facility, taste a sample, and bring home a true local to brew.

Incredible macadamia milk cappuccino, avocado toast + even cocktails & beers! Best place to read a book, hang with friends and I can’t wait for the events they’re planning! Wake is exactly the specialty coffee shop that Ambler needed!!!
