Black Rock Coffee Bar

My reason for the one star is not for the taste or the quality of coffee but the customer service. The order is not what I asked for. I can't have regular coffee so it's important that it's decaf but the baristas don't get it right. The sweetness is allways wrong.

Fast, friendly service. Had the Jackhammer and a maple cronut. Both tasted great and I'd be happy to go back any time.

I just moved to this area and I have been looking for a new coffee place for a couple of months. I have to say that the girl that helped me was amazing. When I go to a new place I always ask the barista what their favorite drink is and she gave me the most flavorful amazing drink I could ever hope for. I ordered one of their breakfast pastries, which was like a homemade Pop tart, and it was to die for I loved it so much. I definitely found my new coffee place.

The staff at this location are so great, and I normally have a very good experience. This past weekend 4/9/21-4/10/21 evening shift 1845-1905, it took 15-20 minutes— both nights—to get through the drive-up line. The speaker box was not in use, and staff was taking orders at the window. I work across the street, gave myself 15 minutes to get a coffee and was still late to work on both nights as there is no way to leave your drive-thru in the event of a long, time-consuming line, and especially after knowing they aren’t taking orders at the speaker which makes for a lengthy experience. I want to commend your staff for the awesome job and patience they endure in the service industry and I hope the feedback is helpful and not meant to be punitive.

Great coffee, fast service. Has jazzy bagels too!

They didn’t even fully pay attention to my order it said a blended and they did Just iced and I asked for whipcream and they didn’t even put whipcream on it I’m very disappointed with this black rock.

Best place to get coffee hands down. Great coffee, prices and empoyees.
10/20/2022 update - 7:50am - young gal with dark, long hair. I ordered a medium white mocha. Hand her $20.00 she gave me $12 back. I asked her how much was my coffee, she responded "$7.05". So I repeated, "You are charging me $7.05 for a medium white mocha?"
She nodded.
I will not return. I prefer better service when I am being stolen from.

The worst part is they always ask you to leave a tip, which is rude and also puts customers in an awkward position. As a server I would never dream of asking a customer for a tip. As a general rule of thumb give good service either they tip you or they don't, but never ask for gratuity. Tacky

While I am not a daily patron, I visit this location often enough to say that the staff is always incredibly friendly and appreciative of my business. I know it's always awkward for them to ask if I want to tip, a lot of times they just skip, but when I am asked, they always express gratitude that I do. The product is pretty great too. I would absolutely recommend the Black Rock in Troutdale!

Starbucks wishes thier coffee was this good and the price was much more affordable.
