This was my first time at Heart and I really enjoyed it! We came for the korvapuusti and it was so good!!! Our drinks were good also, and even hand delivered to out table. Beautiful environment and kind staff.

Quality croissant, acidic Ethiopian coffee. Hipster vibe. Free tasting. No wifi. Covid safe place.

I have been looking for some good European coffee since moving to Portland from Munich Germany and this place is hands down the best coffee I have found in the city!

These guys are a disappointment. Theydon’t serve natural processed coffee. And the Barista doesn’t know the difference between naturally de-caffeinated coffee and natural process. If you want make a bold albeit dumb stand against nature processes coffee train your Baristas!!!!!!

Don’t bring in outside food should be on a LARGE sign on the sun glaring windows to this shop! Or maybe put it clearly on the title of the store. Brought in 2 little girls 5 and 7 with a gluten free treat from a near by nice donut shop so mommy could try her treat, some heart coffee for the first time. We were told as we first waited for a table and just sat down, a little tired because we walked 8 blocks/10 minutes to get there because I like coffee, that we had to go outside in non shade 90 temp with our outside food. My little girls ate their donuts quickly outside 🙁 which ruined that experience and then I still decided to try the coffee because I needed a morning coffee and we needed to sit before walking all the way back. My husband likes coffee and a treat so he just didn’t eat his donut or get a coffee. He seemed uncomfortable and I felt bad having any of us walk all the way there. The mocha looked pretty but only OK tasting. Being rushed outside by the staff person just ruined the whole morning experience. We won’t be back. Put a serious ☹️ to the beginning of our Portland vacation day which we have very few of. I suggest Just go to a coffee shop with a 4.7 or higher. Seems like anything else you are at risk of a sad experience. They also only had 3 of the same bread rolls left at 9:30 for any food options at all in the coffee shop for purchasing that I could see. The whole thing was just so weird and felt very stuck up. Just NOPE!

Can be pretty good but espresso tends to be sour or bitter. $6 latte should taste better than this.

Edit: espresso is strong but inconsistent. Rarely perfect. Seems like the grind is often off, resulting in sourness or bitterness even in milk drinks. This combined with the highest prices in town is a drag.

Tasty coffee and plenty of other options, great space and music. Great place to meet up and get a coffee.

I've been here a handful of times as always got my order to-go. This time I met someone and stayed there to enjoy my Honey-Cardamom Latte and Pistachio-Rose Croissant. The addition of music and wooden tabletop made it all taste better. Will sit-in again, soon.

My husband and I stopped in here for an afternoon coffee. We like the space and the coffee was excellent. I should mention that the barista was super friendly and welcoming. His bubbly demeanor was definitely appreciated.

As a coffee aficionado, I really liked this place. They made their own vanilla syrup and soy milk, which was interesting. And who doesn't love hearts? Great quality, staff and ambiance.
