Cute coffee shop a short drive from cathedral park. It's spacious, lots of windows and full of natural light. You get to enjoy the gentle summer breeze as you drink their deliciously brewed coffee and their gigantic pastries/sandwiches!
I got their seasonal cold brew with coconut creamer and it was the perfect amount of sweet with a delicious coconut aroma and smooth coffee taste.
Coming back to try their HUGE pastries and drink more of the coffee while relishing in the chill atmosphere here.

Nice space in a coffee shop desert. Glad you're there! Coffee was good. Polite, efficient service. The gf muffin was delicious, but that's the only good I've had there, so i won't rate the food

Excellent baked goods and drinks. I honestly haven't had such good sweet and savory bakery items at very many other places! Worth every penny. Really nice cement/industrial fixtures and decor, kind service. Feels really local.

Me and my husband visited this place during our weekend gateway to Portland. We went to grab a quick coffee as this place was right next to where we were staying. As soon as we entered, I was sold by the nice cozy ambiance and very friendly staff and we decided to grab our breakfast there and spend some time glancing thru the nice collection of books available on the shelf. My husband got baked sausage sandwich (something like that, don't remember the name correctly) and chai latte (he told both were awesome). I was not feeling much hungry as I had some protein bar before so got cappuccino (awesome) and they customized the menu as I wanted two eggs sunny side up. It was really nice time, I would definitely go back when/if I visit Portland again and recommend this place to everyone.

I was greeted with 'What do you want' the kid acted as if I was annoying him when I hadn't even talked to him yet, then when I ordered he whispered something to the guy making coffee who then looked up at me and laughed, my coffee was luke warm if that and not very tasty, and way over priced,I'm not going back,I'll stick to Dutch Bros, where they are kind, friendly and the coffee is good.

Disappointing. Coffee and service have fallen by the wayside. Used to come here frequently. Took at 6 month break - came back today, and the service has gone downhill. Server came by with my latte, and spilled a good part of it in the saucer. He said "Oh well," and left. Not even an apology, a proposal to make me a new cup, nothing. He was 5'6", glasses, shorter hair, and a beard that should have been in a hair net.
Needless to say, that's a reason to not come back. Too many better coffee shops in St. John's.

Absolutely amazing coffee! The best I've had in about 10 years!! A bit "hipster" for me personally, but most definately a place for milennials which is perfect being close to the college. Indoor and outdoor (no cover) seating, pastries, books, small batch coffee for sale. Super pretty, great seating arrangements, big tables, pretty view of a small wooded area even. I highly recomend Cathedral Coffee.

Five Stars for the Hut.
On the deck @Cathedral they've constructed a quaint shelter.
It's there you will savour a cup of bliss and a plate of oh-my-g*d goodness from their lovin' oven. Go. Now. Enjoy!

Love this place! We come here on lazy weekends for foldovers (the best) and delicious coffee. It’s usually busy but the line moves quickly and they are always well stocked. Delicious seasonal drinks and a fantastic small selection of baked items. Everything they do is delicious.
Went in today with my 3 year old and our baby. Got my girl a kids hot chocolate with whipped cream, and she was so excited for it that she almost immediately dropped it, sending whipped cream and chocolate everywhere. The baristas were so accommodating (sorry!) and quickly refreshed the drink. On our way out she dropped it again 🤦♂️ Even then, they were so sweet about it and remade it without me asking, and even brought it out to us and I was talking to her outside the shop. It was a great experience for us and I wanted to make sure to share.
Come for the delicious coffee and pastries, stay for the neighborhood spirit and extra special service. Great place and we feel lucky to have it so close. Truly a St Johns gem.
