Super tasty breakfasts with in-house made bread! Definitely worth the wait to get a table!
I love their new location!!

Hand to God, the best chicken fried steak I've ever had in my life here. Reading their menu they said that this cafe is world renowned for its food and, I believe it. Would love to come here again in the future. Great service and one of the best meals I'll ever have!

I kinda wish I had the same stellar experience as a number of other reviewers noted. Maybe I had bad luck the time I came out about a couple of months ago. First off, parking was a BIG issue. I know that's not in the cafe's control but it certainly didn't bode well for the remainder of my visit. I was rather charmed by the handwritten sign posted on their door warning about parking in the nearby gas station. That's good lookin' out and I commend them with a star. There were a few large picnic benches with a small group of four hanging out at one. We had the impression that there was outdoor dining, but alas, that is not offered here. Needless to say, since the cafe is off the busy Hwy 101, it wasn't much of a pleasant wait with the loud traffic driving through. Looking inside it didn't quite look COVID safe. The place was full and there wasn't much in the way of physical distancing, even at their food counter. Eh. There was also a wait time. Not too big a deal because we placed an order to go. We got the half order of “The Original” Otis Cafe world-renowned German potatoes with a number of add ons. We continued to wait outside at our romantic picnic table and listened to the ambience of big rigs blaring by with their exhaust. When we brought it back to the place we stayed, we were impressed with the size of the half order. I think that justified the price of what we paid for it. You could probably feed a family of four with the full order! The flavor of the dish wasn't to die for but at least it was filling.

Overall I had a so-so experience and don't think I'll miss out on much here.

What a great place! I've been to a lot of indie diners where the food is exactly the same as every other diner cuz it comes from the same restaurant supply company.

But not Otis! The food here was real and made from local ingredients. It was super tasty and the portions were huge.

The place was packed, so there was a bit of a wait, but the staff made sure to let me know they were aware of me and someone would be helping me soon.

Went here with my lady during the recent kite festival, and I gotta say, that was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had!! Every time we go back to LC, we will be stopping at Otis Cafe, as I intend to work my way through that tasty menu. ;-) Thanks for great food, friendly staff and awesome molasses bread.....great job Otis Cafe!!!

Small, cozy place to stop along the highway. Friendly, attentive staff. Feels like you walked back in time. Huge portions of home cooked comfort food. Hash browns were delicious! Breakfast served all day.
