I don't know why we didn't try this place sooner...OMG delicious. The chicken fried steak was definitely homemade, and flavorful. The bread is beyond delicious. I recommend the dark molasses bread. Will definitely be back. This place definitely beats the other breakfast/lunch places in the area.

It was pretty good. Serving sizes were great. I really liked the hashbrowns and the bread was amazing! Although I wasnt a fan of the molasses I really liked the wheat bread. Thick and perfectly toasted and delicious! (I wish I had bought a loaf of it as they sell it in full loafs!) We all have different tastes. I saw others really enjoying the molasses it just wasnt for me. And I wasnt big on the veggies in the omlette. I would prefer onions, peppers, tomatoes and zucchini. It had carrots, broccoli, zucchini. Kinda weird to me. But the chunks of ham and bacon were big nice size and delicious. It didnt look like processed ham either. It looked like ham off a bone like youd imagine grandma cooking. Lol And it could have used more cheese. Or at least some on top of the omlette and not just inside. But overall, I would come back and order off the menu again. Next time I am buying the wheat bread!

The food was delicious. The portions are huge and easy to share. I've never heard of black molasses and the toast they make from it is so delicious. I got the ham and cheese omelet and they let me have a slice of their homemade sourdough and molasses so I could try both. The hashbrowns needed to be more crisp but I forgot to ask for it. The coffee is decent but not great. The servers are friendly and attentive. I can see why they have a name for themselves.

All the things me and my wife have eaten there has been most tremendous.
German hash browns awesome to perfection.
Bacon cooked to my expectations.
Biscuits and gravy very close to my Texas likings.
The Banana bread made there I not seen it’s equal.
The Pumpkin bread is astounding.

I would have rated this a complete 5 stars. However our waiter to his credit acknowledged the fact that instead of a bacon omelet he ordered a ham. However, he never even offered to change my order. I ate the omelette anyway and requested two pieces of bacon which came to me cooked in the microwave and extremely brittle and dry. The atmosphere was good and so was the peach pie! I would try again because everybody deserves a second chance.

Local treasure. We were advised by a friend that the place can fill up early with waits up to two hours. So we timed our trip to get there close to opening time. When I mentioned to our server that we would be getting two of their cinnamon buns to go, they brought them to our table right away so we would be sure to have them before they ran out! Sourdough pancakes were delicious; poached eggs medium as requested. Husband's breakfast burrito was also well prepared and packed. He loved the thick slabs of black molasses toast. Excellent coffee with several refills.

Omgggg best cinnamon bun ever! Dropped in to grab some take out and the place was packed. Definitely a gem in Lincoln City!

It's tiny so if they are busy your practically elbow to elbow with other patrons. They make an amazing molasses bread but that is where the good food stops. I returned my sausage & biscuit it was AWFUL. No one else returned there's but none of us will ever return for a meal there. The wait staff was very friendly though but good service can only go so far.

This restaurant gets great reviews. We had the Otis omelet and it was just OK. It was filled with things like cauliflower, carrots, broccoli, etc. Not what we expected. A different choice from their menu probably would have been better. Go hungry, the portions are huge. I should also say the service was good.

Yesterday was our first time at this newer Otis Cafe. Until then, every time we were in Lincoln City, we couldn't find a parking spot. The service was great and the food good. I must warn you, if you order the french toast, which mentions "thick slices," you might want to only order the two slices and not four. They are really thick, but very good. The only thing I would say I was a little disappointed in was the lack of menu items containing seafood. There was only one on the menu and the other was a special. What can I say? I like eating seafood when I'm at the coast. There were a few times where it was so loud in there, we couldn't hear each other. In general though, it was all good and we'd go again.
