Great place to have morning manager meetings! Ice cream coffee shakes are the bomb!

Great outdoor patio and tasty food options. Enjoyed the vintage aesthetic of the building and dog friendly areas. Would definitely stop here again on my way through La Grande!

Staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. Vibe is calm and casual. Great place to meet up with friends or even work on your laptop. Outdoor seating or indoor seating with garage doors that roll up.

Breakfast sandwich and coffee is legit!

Excellent ice cream and coffee! Always a good experience with fun specials and attentive/friendly staff. Love the atmosphere and outdoor space.

Everything is overpriced, and it doesn’t make sense because there is no “WOW” factor. The pastries aren’t very good and are usually dry. The “peach” lemonade I ordered tasted very bad and I took one sip and I was done. They never have what I want when it’s in fact on the menu. Then when they say they have it, they give me something else entirely, after I pay. I don’t enjoy paying $6 for a VERY small ice cream milkshake AND having to pay EXTRA for whipped cream. I really wanted to like this place, I really did, but it’s not an enjoyable experience. I am unsatisfied every time I go and you can’t pay me to return.

I am surprised they have a vegan cookie and cream icecream. It is more like a coconut cream and cookie, it is delicious.

I want to love this place, I really do. Unfortunately, the staff seemed ill prepared to provide guidance on their unique drink options or pastry choices. The building is unfinished with multiple tripping and safety hazards throughout.

That being said the drink and pastry I had were awesome. Once the building is complete, this will be an amazing location. LG needs places like this.

The Local has a ways to go in the area of aesthetics because they opened before any finishing touches could grace this humble place. Also, they only serve coffee drinks and a very limited dessert menu which includes pop tarts (although they were decorated). This was the perfect place for an acoustic jam session with lots of chairs outside and where social distancing could be observed. We'll go back in a month to check on their progress.

I decided to give The Local a try on my way to work the other day. The drink I like is a little tricky but the young man made it just how I like it! I also tried the S’mores Ice Cream on a waffle cone and it really hit the spot! I’ll definitely be going back!

This place is great. The ice cream is amazing and I think it’s a great new place for our town. The only thing I don’t like that bothers me is they ask you if you want to leave a tip when you use a card in the drive thru. It honestly makes me uncomfortable and I feel like I have to say yes. If you say no, it makes you look rude. I should be able to go and get ice cream to-go without feeling like I have to tip every single time. If I was dining in and being served, that’s a different story but we don’t tip Dairy Queen or Mc Donald’s at the drive thru.
