It's been almost four years since I reviewed Interzone the first time, and it's in need of an update. I stopped going here for many months after a questionable comedy show, but then my (at the time new) partner convinced me to give it another chance. It became our favourite café and now that I've left Oregon, I actually miss it. It has a genuine indie coffee shop vibe to which the (especially many QT[POC]) patrons contribute, making it feel homey and familiar. The breakfast eats are my partner's favourite. I dig the bagel sandwiches. Has (or at least had) a place to smoke and socialize outside. Zines, tees, postcards, and stickers for sale. The owner recognizes regulars and will probably foist stylish bookmarks and stickers on you. Really gonna miss seeing my friends and classmates at this place— hopefully we'll be back to visit during spring graduations!

Interzone's coffee is great, and reasonably priced. Never tried their food or snacks; however, I strongly dislike that they have muffins and other pastry on the countertop, without any coverage, right at where everyone waits and pays and touches everything... no comment, but I wouldn't eat that.
The decoration is unique and fine, but most of the time it is hard to find a free spot to sit. They are good for a quick stop l, but would look elsewhere to sit down and catch up with a friend.

Ever since I moved away from the Santa Cruz area in California, I have been homesick for a good vegan/vegetarian restaurant and coffeehouse. When I left California to go to OSU, I found it, at Interzone! Everyone is friendly, and it's got a nice feel to it. This place has quickly become my favorite spot, and hey; it's within walking distance of classes, and it's right by my favorite dispensary. Give it a try, I think you'll like it too!

Great coffee and great staff. Love their bagels.

Long time favorite of Corvallis freaks and geeks and everyone else. Welcoming atmosphere, great food, great coffee and lots of room to stretch out and get some work done. My top picks are toasted bagel with pesto cream cheese or any of their many herbal teas on ice if I don't need caffeine.

As I gloomily enter midlife I’m facing forced reflection. I’m looking back on my late teens and early 20s and watching my son approach those years far faster than I’m ever going to be comfortable with. I’m staring at him and hoping that when he jots off to college he’s as lucky as I was. I hope he finds a beautiful tiny coffee shop that he can raise himself in. Where the people are as beautiful as the coffee is rich. I hope he finds interzone! A place where he can be free to experience all that life has to offer with the help of fantastic judgment free locals. A place he can play cribbage till midnight and still find time to visit again the next morning. Hopefully while studying, between sips of his coconut hell - he’ll be as lucky as I was and walk away from that same dusty armchair a better version of himself. The people make the place and still 20+ years later, every time I walk in- interzone feels like home.

Thank you Bill and Iris. I hope you both know how much you did for us crusty kids in the late 90s! Thank you Bill for keeping that love alive!

Easily the best and most hip coffee house in Corvallis. The scene is music/art and they host local artist's work, as well as host small concerts. The owners are there often and the venue reflects their vibe. Coffee/food is organic and high quality. Many vegetarian and vegan options. If you're not into the hippy/hipster scene, you can get your brew to go.

Organic food, great employees, a mix of large and small tables, and live music some nights. What's not to like? Only drawback is that it is sometimes so busy it is hard to find a table. They also have board games you can play and a small lending library and nobody hassles you if you stay for hours and don't buy stuff. Outside tables and original artwork hangs on the walls, too.

Best Coffee in town, baristas know what they are doing...consistently good, which in my opinion is what you want in coffee, no? Tasty muffins, good atmosphere, not quite hipster, more eclectic. Check it out, food looks great.

Good coffee, good bagels, great prices. Food is delicious but don't forget the napkins!
