First and foremost, the bagels are fantastic. Made fresh every morning and everything on their menu is great. You can't go wrong with any bagel. Quality is pretty consistent across their various locations.
This portion is only related to the Westside location and its atmosphere. I've been going to Big O Bagels very frequently since I moved to Central Oregon a few years ago. They are frequently busy which is understanding but they are still typically pretty quick and you never wait for more than 10 minutes; plus there's a 7-11 literally next door. Everytime I walk in to this location on Galveston, I feel like the happiness is immediately drained from my body. They have one employee in particular who has been working there for a while that I feel is to blame; blonde hair, maybe late teens/early 20s, typically runs the register at the counter, literally have never seen her smile once. If you've been to this location, you've likely noticed her or interacted with her. My business always seems like it's a bother, a hindrance, and a massive inconvenience, every single time I go in. Typically the interaction just consists of her saying my total and then staring off into the distance waiting for me to be done. Only occasionally I've received a thanks from her. She has never greeted me with a smile, a "Hey how's is going?", or even any sort of semblance of a positive salutation. She makes this location feel unwelcoming. During my most recent visit (the reason I'm writing this review today), I noticed one of her coworkers actually looked her straight in the eyes and exhaggerated a smile, seemlingly in an attempt to get her to smile, and she just shrugged and looked away. It seems her coworkers have also noticed that she never makes an effort to make the people around her feel welcome. You work a customer service job, at least pretend to be happy and engaging so your customers have a good experience? Anyway, I have begun driving across town to either of the other locations instead so my mood in the mornings isn't constantly soured.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Anyone who has given this place more than one star has not had a bagel from NY or NJ. These bagels are terrible in comparison. Also, mine was hardly toasted, and they don't cut the bagel in half for you, which I feel is pretty standard. The coffee I got was completely burnt.. tastes worse than Folgers. I'll drink almost any coffee, and I couldn't even stomach this coffee - it was so gross.

First time here. The line was a bit long, but I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly it went. The staff was very friendly! The eye opener breakfast sandwich was awesome, we also got a lunch sandwich (the big one) to go for later- delicious!! The jalapeño cheddar bagel is the best one I’ve ever had! Would definitely recommend for a yummy quick breakfast or lunch!

This is an excellent bagel shop. The bagels are truly top-notch as are the toppings. The only downside is is the coffee, which is mediocre.

Spent about $10 on the lox box bagel and it didn't come with the capers like the online menu said it would have. The everything bagel has the same amount if flavor as a store bought bagel. The cream cheese was really good (garlic and herb). The Salmon was nice. The staff was friendly and quick. May or May not go back.

Normally would post 5 stars but as of recently the customer service and food has gone down hill. I normally go multiple times a week but lately my business has seemed like a bother. I haven't been smiled at for weeks. I know they are understaffed like everyone but customer service is key! Also my bagels have been made incorrectly almost everytime I have gone in lately. I would just like to recieve what I pay for again. I hope this reaches the higher ups so you know what is going on in your store. Still love the place and will continue to support if things get better.

Always fresh and tasty. My favorite is Lox Box and breakfast sandwiches.

Great bagels. This was my go to spot for a quick breakfast. Staff was always friendly and courteous. I would get the 3 cheese bagel and my daughter swore by the garlic and herb. We both liked ours toasted with a little bit of plain cream cheese. Their Eye Opener (Bagel + Egg + Bacon or Sausage or Ham + Cheese) is a must try as well.

I have been a big O bagel customer for at least 7 years: it was a Friday morning ritual in high school and I still find myself there frequently when I’m looking for an easy breakfast. Gluten is a staple here, (sorry (GF)) but the vegan cream cheese is tasty, my favorite has always been the eye openers, and the coffee is decent for It’s low price. I’m often helped by young adult female employees, and they seem to be busier between 9 and 12. There are limited parking spots up front, but the surrounding downtown area is easy to navigate and it’s a few blocks away from Harmon park and mirror pond.
