Oh my goodness! Huge portions on the breakfast menu—we had it for dinner. I had the Country Scramble. Two eggs, hash browns, a sausage patty, and a biscuit, all smothered with cream gravy. I had them top it with shredded cheese. Yummy! Mt husband got the hamburger steak with two eggs & hash browns. He said it was delicious too. The best part was my chocolate shake! Made with real ice cream. Definitely a great place to eat.

This is a little fantastic hidden gem if you normally are just passing through. Further into town than most people would trek for passers by. But I’m guessing the locals prefer it that way.
We stopped in on a Sunday and they were packed. A diner feel, cozy, friendly staff, with great food.
Fries were real cut fries, they had tots, and they even had fry sauce!!! They take care of the food and I was pleasantly surprised to hear they have gluten free options that are prepared separately from other food. Which is rare in a small town.
I think I found a favorite for my trips.

From the moment you walk in the door the place feels cozy and the wonderful smell of home cooked food make it worth the stop. I’m glad they have gluten free options. Portions are hearty and service is great. Very busy and attentive. The strawberry French toast looks great!… but it’s not gluten free. My breakfast was gone before remembering to take photos (updated with clean plate). I might get a huckleberry milkshake as an after breakfast treat…

Can't wait to drive by this place again!! Sooo good! Fresh and Homemade. Spaghetti dinner and liver and onions. The rolls are heavenly. Super staff! Way to go. I definitely recommend this delicious spot of heaven!
The soup of the day was rich and creamy homemade mushroom soup. A must-try!

Had dinner here one night and breakfast the next morning. Both meals were really good with friendly service. It's the way things used to be!
6.24.22 - My husband had a job over here and I had him schedule for a day when I could come along partly just to visit the Cafe again! We even convinced the 12 yr old to join us, and what swayed him was telling him We were planning lunch at Inland Cafe!

This is bad service. The machine was messed up and our order never came. We had six people in our party and we watched 4 groups come in and leave in the time it took the waitress to realize our order was not connecting to the cook. This will be the last time I come into this diner. I live in Newport and was passing through. There is plenty of other places to eat on our way through to Utah to visit family. I do not recommend at all. Thank you and am very sorry for this. Then when we asked if the food was ready. The waitress gave an attitude. Maybe a technology problem. But this is absolutely ridiculous. By the time we got the order it took an hour and a half. They did give a 50% discount and a couple cinnamon rolls. This was going to be a 1 star review. But it is now a 3 star.

We had burgers and fries, they were home cooked and delicious! The fries were good. The service was quick and friendly. My grandson wanted a cinnamon roll to go and it was one of the best! So soft and good! Would definitely eat here again.

Wow! We stumbled across this great little cafe as we were driving through Baker City. The chicken fried steak is amazing and the cheeseburger with hand cut fresh fries brought tears of joy to my eyes. The staff was super friendly and made the visit even better. Highly recommend.
