I used to really like this place, but the last few times I've gone, it has really gone downhill. The coffee and food is still pretty good, don't get me wrong, but the service is really slow and not great.

For example, the menu clearly states that "All meals" come with a choice of a side, but there's an unwritten exception for the one you ordered, so you don't get one. A customer focused response would be something to the effect of, "I'm sorry, that option isn't supposed to come with a side, I'll get the menu fixed, in the meantime, you could pick one this time since we messed up."
Or, at the very least, "I'm so sorry, that meal is meant to be excluded."
Instead, you get a simple no with a tone that communicated, in my mind, at least, "why would you even ask?"

It also took a really long time from when we arrived until we had our food. No joke, we got to the counter to start ordering at 12:50, and we didn't all have a plate until right a little after 1:30, and even then, the order was wrong. I get it, it's easy to forget to put a custom order note on the ticket, but at least try something like, "oops, I'm sorry, we'll fix it." I also understand staffing is an issue these days, so you've only got one person up front and one in the kitchen. Then again, it wasn't a huge order and the place wasn't very busy.

The last time I went for lunch, which was about a month ago, they were out of one of the two brewed coffees. When I asked, the reply was not "have you tried our other blend to see if you like it?" Or "I'll brew some more, it'll just be a few minutes." They said, "just get the other one." Turns out, both were empty, so they did reluctantly get another batch going. This wasn't like half an hour before close or anything, they were still open for another 3 1/2 hours.

As I started with, I used to really like this place, and the food and coffee are good. I really like one of the two brewed coffee options, and the specialty drinks are quite tasty. Maybe they'll turn it around again.

Ask for a breakfast bowl with no eggs and it came in a cup with 4 bits of food, sorry not worth the price and I went to talk to someone and they said the coffee cup was their bowl. They offered no compensation for the lack of food and I end up having to order another sandwich . I won’t be back!

Itiz I.

Caramel frozen coffee is just right. Friendly staff, clean place.

My husband and I are from out-of-state and were looking for healthy breakfast options when we came across Rise Grind & Ride. Coffee was great, and the food even better. We had oatmilk lattes, the Lorraine Ciabatta, an Everything but the Bread bowl, a chocolate cinnamon muffin, and blueberry muffin.

My husband is staunchly a meat-and-potatoes guy, and when he received his breakfast bowl, he was at first disappointed by its size. After a few bites, however, he mumbled, "this is really good", and he is NOT easily impressed.

I know we won't return for many moons, if ever, due to the distance from our home state, but I leave this review in hopes that someone else might try this little gem of a place!

Coffee is delicious! While visiting family in town, we stopped in for some coffee. Batista was so nice and helpful. Offered drinks to try and was very attentive. I will say, don't stop here if you're in a rush. They really put all of their effort into every drink. So my 4 coffees did take some time. But I say it's worth it! I enjoyed every sip of my white mocha. I will definitely be stopping in again before we return home.

We were in town for a convention and wanted something better than hotel coffee. We found this place and really enjoyed it. It’s a cool little shop and the coffee was really good.

Really nice people. Good coffee, excellent baked goods. However...

I tried to sit and work in here for a while. Couple things forced me to leave. One, it's like 80 in here. It's hot. Uncomfortably so.

Second, they decided to cook a ton of bacon. Like, bacon smells good. I like bacon. But this is overpowering, cloying and nauseating. A small coffee shop shouldn't smell this strong of bacon. So weird, I know. But it pushed me out the door.

Went there with my friends from 10 to 2pm and we were given great service (even though after breakfast hour there was only one employee) and good food.
I tried my first coffee there (S'mores & More) and I really liked it!

Very good! I ordered the frozen creme and it was exactly to my taste. The atmosphere is nice and the customer service is top notch. My only complaint is the in store menu is much more difficult to navigate than the website menu. I would recommend picking what you want from the website before getting there. I saw a ton of tea options on the website but since I couldn’t remember what they had while I was in the shop so I ended up ordering coffee instead.

This place has a great laid-back atmosphere along with a good selection of coffee. I'm more a fan of cold blended coffees with fruit flavors. I tried one with pomegranate flavor and it was amazing. My friend go some hot coffee and I even liked it which is saying something. If you're ever in the area I highly recommend. The staff is also really friendly even when you're someone like me that just casually likes coffee and knows nothing about the fancy names or anything.
