Painted Horse Bar & Grille

Good food, great cocktails, kitchen was slow but service was great. We were seated upstairs by the hostess. It is difficult for anyone with bad knees or disabled to eat here. Cramped area, poorly lit with low ceilings. Watch your head if you’re tall

Really good burgers! Got the Green chile burger and it was excellent. Also, the sweet potato fries were cooked perfectly. Had some chips and queso to start with and the salsa was also exceptional. All around excellence and I'll be back next time I'm in town!

I had the meat loaf. It was the best I have ever tasted. The first time ever, I didn't need ketchup for meat loaf. It was moist and so tasty! Everyone else in our party loved everything they got, too.

Somehow ended up in Bartlesville, OK today. Went to the Painted Horse on a recommendation of a local resident.

Today we have the Heap of Heifer off their featured section on the menu.
Slow cooked beef served over their homemade Mac and cheese. Smothered with melted cheese and BBQ sauce.

I wanted to rate the item five stars but couldn't do so. The piece of beef that was served was a generous portion unfortunately it had a fatal flaw. The half on the right was a little dry and stringy while the left side was good. This was all the same large piece of meat.
The 5 cheese Mac was very good and there was a lot of it. At first I didn't care for the BBQ sauce all over the Mac and was trying to scoot it to the side. Because there was so much Mac I began to get fatigue from trying to eat it. The BBQ sauce then offered a welcome change to the flavor and hence some relief.
I was not a fan of the bits of bacon covering the Mac as they were not crispy and did not enhance the dish by adding textural contrast.

Would I order this again? I don't think so but I would definitely consider ordering Mac by itself.

My husband, daughter and I have eaten here several times. We found this little gem just by chance because our daughter loves horses but wow....we’re we surprised. The decor is beautiful with a horse and ranch theme. The food will blow you away as well! Everything is delicious and the portions are huge. We can’t wait to go back again 😊

Love the atmosphere. Portions are good and I've never had a dish I didn't like. Drinks from bar are good. Excellent Moscow Mules.

Good time. Great food. Busy but sat quickly. Some reason drinks took a while u unknown why. Waitress was a little slow early on but got better. Atmosphere was nice.

Painted Horse is hands down one of the best restaurants in Bartlesville. Great food (especially the Mac n cheese), great drinks, friendly wait staff. Definitely recommend.

Love this place food is good always good selection of drinks.
I've not had anything on menu that was bad. Steaks are fire the piggy mac oh my your tongue will beat your brains out trying to eat it.
Highly suggest the Carmel apple mix drink 😋
