Visiting from Texas and were recommend to eat here. Really good food, great ambiance, and overall a fantastic experience! Sarah took really great care of us and kept the amazing coffee coming! We definitely are coming back to this restaurant again when we’re in town

The staff was friendly and the service was fast. Great place to stop if you're in town. Had the grilled meatloaf with hash browns, eggs and pancakes. 4/6/2022

First of all, this place is adorable. I love the design inside. The coffees and breakfast were delicious & our waitress was very kind and attentive. Next time we’re in Sandusky, we’ll definitely stop by.

I’d drive all the way from Vermont just for another breakfast here. This place has the best breakfast I’ve ever had, period, no exceptions. Love to cimer here on my way to Detroit, or for any occasion. You absolutely have to eat here!

All staff was friendly and helpful. Food was great. We had their blueberry pancakes and the kids Oreo pancakes. Double thumbs up from my son. Wait time not bad either on a very busy Sunday afternoon.

Long drive for a great breakfast. Another nice establishment. We were greeted and seated promptly, but had a long delay before our server came. Fortunately things turned around and turned out to be a great experience. I got the buckeye iced coffee, and it was outstanding. The cinnamon roll came out first, per our request. It was a masterpiece. The omlet and potatoes drowning in gravy, were superb. The potatoes were literally whole mini potatoes. They were very different from normal breakfast hashbrowns, but were very good. The biggest complaint was it was a tad chilly in threre. Will definitely be making this drive again.

Friendly staff. My waiter was nice and friendly. Space was a little crowded but overall it didn't stop anyone enjoying themselves.

The Sandusky Bay Pancake house has been the busiest restaurant on the rt250 strip ever since they opened a couple years back. And with good reason too. Because of its popularity the staff is well adapted to a busy environment where almost every table is seated. They were respectful and welcoming, a good place for families or groups where everyone can find something they want with an extensive menu. In short the food was good. Better then average especially when compared to the local breakfast chains nearby. This is a place worth you time if you can get a table.

What it was like…

The restaurant has a modern interior design with contrasting light and dark tones where accents of a yellow color from their logo appear too. You’re a little closer to the other tables as there’s quite a bit of seating to accommodate the demand. With the restaurant filled at 10am it was a noisier setting but not horrible as it gives it life and you’re not afraid to be too loud. Once my group had ordered I was expecting to be waiting, staring at the wall for the next hour with how busy it was but, to our surprise, it only took about 15 min.

The most important part, the food, was good. Portion sizes were smaller than I expected but for most people these are all you want as the other two from my group had no complaints. I appreciate they source locally for most of their dairy products and breakfast meats. (Tofts and Daisyfield) The pancakes though, were just okay. Nothing special. Even with some fancy toppings using fruits and frosting. I’ve had better. Eggs, potatoes, sausage, and bacon were all good. French toast and waffles were better then the pancakes. Typical American breakfast options done well. I just wish there was more flavor in everything using spices and herbs. But the again it’s not bad in any way. You will be happy with almost anything on their menu as it is.

To be honest I would not go back myself but that doesn’t mean I can’t recommend it to anyone passing by to try it for themselves and give a local restaurant a chance.
