Great place for the family to get creative. They are a nonprofit but some of the pieces are pricey so watch what your kid decides go paint. Pick your piece and paint colors then get to work. No time limit. They have a coffee area too with some light snack type foods. You pick up your piece up usually a week later after its been in the kiln.

A Gem in Lancaster! I love their social impact model and it is a perfect place to have a birthday party or to get together with friends. Their coffee shop is really good too! The staff is all so friendly and the atmosphere inviting. I find myself coming back again and again.

The prices are better than I was expecting them to be. This was a really good time for my wife and I. It is an easy way to kill an hour or two. Staff was friendly and helpful, even though the place was PACKED. We definitely plan on coming back, maybe with a couple nieces and nephews š

I come here for the coffee the staff is always friendly, maybe one day I'll have time to paint something it sounds like fun. For now sadly I can only tell you the coffee is worth the stop. I recommend the Mocha cold brew it's what I always get. Though nobody I've taken there has had anything bad to say about the coffee.

So fun and great ambiance! Will definitely be going again. Abbey was super helpful and friendly and there is a coffee bar right in the same room!

Super fun spot - we enjoyed a delish iced chai while our daughter painted a bisque item. Great selection of bisque ware, very well laid out crafting area with succinct instructions, creative signage and extra areas with more difficult glazes and techniques. Wonderful place for dates, grandparents day out, girls get-together, etc. Cafe prices ok and nice selection of munchies. Craft prices reasonable. Website well-laid out and Pogo concept really creative. Peppy staff!

Super fun time was even able to take my toddler and she made a small plate. Came back just for adults and spent quite some time here relaxing with coffee and painting. ā” Loved it! š Prices are appropriate for the occasion as well.

I have visited this establishment many times in the past during community events like art walk and chocolate walk, attended a painting class for a bachelorette party, and painted three items on three different occasions all while accompanied by my service dog. I have never had an issue bringing him in to this business until Chocolate Walk this past Friday. I would also like to add that I went into 30 other businesses that evening and no one else gave me any grief for having him.
I am a type 1 diabetic. My dog is trained to alert me when my sugars go high or low. He was vested and well behaved when we went in. We were looking around while we were waiting to get the chocolate when I was approached by a staff member. She said "I have two questions to ask you and I'm sure you know how to answer them." This was said in a way that made me realize she had already decided my dog was not a legitimate service dog. She then proceeded to ask me the two questions that businesses are allowed to ask: is he a service dog and what service does he provide? I responded that yes, he was a service dog and he was a medical alert dog. She then asked "But what does he do?" I responded again that he was a medical alert dog. When she asked me again what he did I told her he alerted me when my sugars go too high or too low. She asked me again what he did. At that point I realized that she was trying to ask me what my disability was and I told her that she's not allowed to ask me that. She told me she was allowed to and offered to get the "paperwork". I'm not sure if she meant the actual ADA regulations or the company policy, she just said "paperwork". At that point I told my companions that I would wait for them outside as I didn't want to make a scene in front of people who were painting pottery with their families. She yelled after me several times as I was leaving that she "didn't ask me that question".
I was very surprised by this treatment was I was always under the impression that Art and Clay advocated for people with disabilities. My sister-in-law and I were having a conversation about bringing out nieces and nephews in to paint sometime, but if this is the way I will be treated, I don't think we will. I hope Art and Clay takes the time to train their employees in the proper treatment of people with service dogs, and to not make snap judgements about people because their disability is not visible. This experience was disappointing, embarrassing, and stressful.
