Ghostlight Coffee (Historic South Park)

One of my favorite coffee shops near downtown Dayton. The space has a major cozy vibe that's perfect for catching up with friends. In the back room, a bit more privacy for those who are looking to plug in some headphones and bang out some work on a laptop. Coffee is great - plus they have yummy treats too. I like their little gift items for sale. When there is a food truck there on weekend mornings during the summer - it's a great place for a light brunch. Also they are really supportive of the community, which always makes me a repeat customer!

Today was my first time going here with my boyfriend. I was excited after all of the good things I’ve heard about this place from working downtown. We ordered 2 of the exact same drink. Cold brew with vanilla and caramel syrup. I wasn’t difficult or confusing or anything and the girl took our order and walked away to the corner of the room to get on her phone. She didn’t speak to us at all, or even respond to me saying thank you, so that was kind of uncomfortable. They forgot the syrup in one of our coffees, so we had to ask the other employee to put it in. She just had an attitude and kind of made the experience unenjoyable for us. She made us feel like we were bothering her. When I have $1.50 of syrups added to each coffee, I don’t really expect to get an attitude when I ask for them to put it in the coffee when they initially don’t. I wasn’t mad or mean or anything, I just said I think they forgot it. No biggie, I get it, I’ve worked food and I know it happens. But there’s no need for the rude service. I was not impressed with my visit. I will not be back.

Cool little hidden spot in dayton. We stopped on our way through and thought it was a hip place. Coffee is great, mocha very well made and hot chocolate was one of the best I've tasted. Also had a vegan chocolate chip muffin which was also very good. Did not see restroom and it's a little cramped, over overall a great little find for quick coffee and muffin.

Ghost light has a great variety of quality coffee. The customer service is impeccable. The "barista" took her time to ensure I got the highest quality coffee. Definitely a future stop for many more early mornings to come.

Very good service, great coffee, clean. If you want great fresh pastries or bagels, excellent barista beverages, and a pleasant place to sit with nifty art for sale, kind patrons, and a theatre vibe, you won't go wrong coming here. Kindness: pulled some receipts from my pocket and a folded $5 fell on the floor next to me. The guy across the coffee table from me was kind enough to point it out.

The quality of the coffee and the service I received is always excellent. Sometimes I want just a basic coffee other times I want something more and they provide that every time. I also enjoy their variety of baked goods and sandwiches. The atmosphere is unique and very comfortable, I prefer Ghostlight coffee Over a traditional chain because they seem to always work harder to make my experience terrific!

Truly a hidden gem. This coffee shop has a great vibe and atmosphere and the coffee is to die for. I ordered a regular latte with balsamic black walnut flavoring. I was a little afraid of how it would be but it ended up being totally worth it. Best latte I've ever had hands down.

Good coffee, a lot of hipsters here. Would recommend a second bathroom for a coffee house.

The owner is very personable and caring. Ghostlight goes above and beyond in service and quality. The tarts are AMAZING and the coffee is delicious. We always make the stop to Ghostlight when we’re in town. Highly recommend both locations. ❤️
