Crimson Cup Coffee Shop - Clintonville

Changing my 5☆ review from 2 years ago to a 1 star. I give the morning crew a full 5 ☆, but every single time I walk in and evening shift is there it's ALWAYS a terrible experience. Several others in clintonville share my same feelings. It's always attitude, arrogance, and disrespectful behavior from the evening shift at this location. I've been ignored, my order notes are ignored, the drink quality is entirely different from morning shift, and there is just a general vibe that they are there for nothing more than the paycheck they receive. They don't care about the customers, or the responsibilities of a barista. It's very sad, ythe crew that was there when the pandemic first started was amazing and now I'll most likely drive the extra mile in the evenings to go to Starbucks. At least there they say hello back instead of just looking at you and walking away. Please do better.

A bit pretentious and underwhelming. Drinks are overpriced, over sweetened and delivered by not terribly friendly staff.

I definitely prefer the one on High St over this one (lattes are better, there's more seating), but still I love Crimson. They have great options and sell a decent selection of grounds and beans. There is little seating, so if you want to work here and get here during the busy hours, you'll probably be at the bar for an hour before a table opens up. Staff is fairly friendly. I don't believe they have pattycake's muffins like they do at the one on High, but they still offer a few different baked goods!

Excellent coffee, much better than starbucks. The employees were extremely friendly and have great customer service skills. My friend spilled his coffee on accident and they made him another one free of charge. This location also happens to have a drive through. I wish there were more locations around town, I will definately return!

Very friendly staff and good prices. For a macro roster the coffee is way better than any chain. My wife and I enjoy walking the dogs to patio in the summer and the workers always treat the dogs with dog cookies. They have a water bowl on the patio for the dogs.

Just had pour over Kenya Karafe coffee, fantastic... And they carry for those who can't do milk, Oat Milk made by Pacifica and it is the best oat milk ever had. And no, I didn't add it to the coffee, just sampled... Coffee needs to stand on its own 😀 really nice place

Parking was lucky, not a lot of spaces, but an excellent crimson cup frozen mocha. Very creamy, though, and you don't really taste the coffee. Small selection of nibbles, but very tasty and accommodating our selective tastes and food allergies. Love that they roast their coffee. All seats filled inside but seating also outside.

Wonderful place for a quick cup of coffee, or a flavored blended coffee. The employees here are great and have wonderful drink suggestions. They keep the drive through moving quick so you never have to wait long to get your drink!

The coffee shop is indeed unique. Ohio local coffee shop with some flare and fun. The drinks are definitely worth talking about. Their Mayan Mocha Frappuccino, was different, it had a kick of spice to it, making you think back to your old history class about Mayans using spice in their chocolates. The other coffees, aren't the usual "sugary" beverages, you get a solid punch of coffee, but easing into a light sweetness so it's not bitter for those with a sweet tooth. Overall it was great and relaxing, definitely suggest it for local Ohioans and those traveling through.

Great staff and great coffee. Whenever we go through the drive-thru, the workers are always thrilled to gift our pup a treat as well!
