One of my favorite bars in Cincinnati. Extremely eclectic and unique. There's no piece of furniture younger than 50 years. Bar tenders are super chill.

It's a cool place to hang out, nice outside area and has a few board games free to play. They serve coffee and alcohol with a nice and relaxing atmosphere. They also have a piano but no one is allowed to play it. 4/5

This place is amazing. It's so busy but still the management finds time to be personable and have relatively quick service. Wonderful atmosphere, exactly the kind of place where I want to study.

There is only one Highland. Quirky, kinda pricey, open late. Kind of unique to find a coffee place with a full liquor license. Lots of amazing alcohol, coffee, ice cream fusions. I've been going for 20+ years. Friendly baristas although not a place to go to when you're in a hurry. Relax, sit down, hang out for a while and you'll never know what you'll find.

I ordered a 3.25 coffee and a 8.25 sandwich and the man charged me 16.54, definitely up charging. He then proceeded to ask me and my friend for a tip because “servers only make 3 dollars on hour”. When my friend asked him to keep the change he said “u can’t count ur change as a tip”. Bad experience

Eclectic environment. Definitely a place that has been loved by a lot of people with 40 year old jade succulents. Looks like it has withstood the test of time and will continue to do so. Good choice of adult drinks.

Very splendid atmosphere, amazing and unique drink options, and all for a really good price. Would highly recommend Highland coffee house for a late night study spot!

Ever since my first night of being at UC this has always been my favorite coffee house. Always great coffee and wonderful atmosphere. Awesome staff and great music. This is definetly a sentimental place for me. And evey time I leave Cincy im sure you stop by and say hi to Jay and enjoy my favorite drink. I dont really do reviews but this place has always deserved one for the past 3 years I've been going. Never change highland!

My friends love this place, so I visit here every so often. The milkshakes (alcoholic and non are available) and chai tea lattes seem to be the most popular choices. While I find it annoying that they don’t list any prices on their menu, I do appreciate the casual and homey atmosphere.

A coffee house that serves coffee and liquor it must be one of five in the whole of the US! The atmosphere is dark, subdued, perfect coffee house scene. The service is a little amateurish--one person to produce the food, man the bar and wait on tables? No wonder service is a little surly at times, deservedly so. Still, they manage somehow. So, not surprisingly, the consistency of the sandwiches varies a great deal although I've only been there three times the hummus/cheese/tom melt has been served to me in three different ways, all of them good--not sure if this is deliberate or, as I say, a little amateurish--Possible they are reaching too far although they have a fairly undemanding crowd of college kids there. But frankly my only real criticism is that it doesn't open earlier...I'd stay there all day if it did.
