Stopped in while in town with family. We visited Grounds for some whole beans and came across Flatlands on our walk. I was welcomed as soon as I came in, got to try a regular blend and even a new creation one of the baristas (Ben) is working on with cardamon. My only suggestion is better signage either on the storefront or a sandwich board. Nice clean look.

Okay, so I'm definitely no coffee expert, but I will say this:
I spent 3 weeks in Seattle over the summer. While there, I explored various local coffee shops on a hunt for the best cup of coffee I would ever have.
None of the places I went to gave me an experience like Flatlands did here in BG.
I've never seen such passion for coffee before. You could see and hear how much Ben cared about not only the coffee he was making, but also where that coffee came from and his personal experiences with the people from whom it originated.
Furthermore, they were so kind in explaining what their business was all about to me, an ignorant first-time visitor. I was immediately greeted and had a wonderful conversation! Even other visitors were kind to me. The shop itself seems to have its own community.
Overall, I don't think I'll ever have an experience similar to what I experienced at Flatlands.

Super nice staff, good coffee, nice atmosphere. The different seating options for groups up to 8 is excellent - couches, small tables, and a nice big table in the back. I think it’s a bit overpriced ($5.50 for a chai latte) but you are paying for the whole experience and not just a drink.

This place has such a good vibe. It's nice and open and good for working or just talking with someone. They have a great selection of beverages if black coffee isn't your thing. My favorite item on the menu is the Earl Grey latte. Any of their tea lattes are incredible and their staff is knowledgeable and super friendly! Highly recommend visiting. You won't want to go anywhere else.

By far the best coffee I have ever experienced. And the good news is that each time that you come to Flatlands, you will have a brand new experience with new flavors, aromas and tastes. The one thing that remains constant is the loving warm environment and staff.

I had an amazing experience at Flatlands! It's super inviting and clean. I've gotten a latte and a cortada and both are incredible, definitely some of the best. It's a great place to work with speedy wifi and lots of outlets. Also, the baristas are really friendly and helpful which can be rare for a third wave coffee shop. Definitely going to be back!

Incredible coffee experience! Truly a 3rd wave coffee shop comparable to top tier shops in major cities. The owner, Ben, cares deeply about coffee and gives himself to continuous improvement of his craft. If you live in Bowling Green or are passing by on I-75 stop in!

Had a wonderful encounter with a business associate and friend when we met at Flatlands. The atmosphere is big city and the service down home friendly. Thank you for the experience. Much more than a coffee shop!

Warm and invisiting atmosphere for small groups or alone. Next level customer service with friendly and knowledgeable baristas. Excellent coffee selection on pour over as well as seasonal mixed drinks; the pastry selection is always expanding. This is the coffee shop I always find myself comparing others to.

A truly unique coffee shop. I'm always given the very best customer service every time I stop in, and the care that goes into each cup of coffee and helping each customer is very apparent. The quality of the coffee never disappoints. The menu isn't extensive, but it is unique and always satisfies. This is my preferred coffee shop, and the only one like it in BG.
