The Depot Cafe

Have been there three times, once 7 years ago which the experience was very good. Good food, friendly staff. Then, twice in the same year recently. Food was 'meh', staff seemed forcefully 'fake' friendly, slow service, price didn't seem worth the complete experience. Send clean. I heard new owners since 7 years ago. Needs some work in a nutshell. Probly not going back any time soon.

The restaurant was full of people so we were seated next to the restrooms, even though it was neat & clean it smelled like sewage. The breakfast dishes were a decent price & very flavorful. Unfortunately, the smell coming from the restroom made me nauseous & ruined my visit. I would go back again IF the restroom was fixed...

Decided to give The Depot a shot after never eating here before, and hearing good things about their food. Got our drinks fast enough, and our order taken right away. An hour came and went before our table of three finally got out ice cold breakfast though. It wasn’t busy at all, and their obvious regular came in after we ordered, joined another table, placed his order and received his food before we did. Waitress finally brought us our food and gave us an excuse that the cook on today is super slow. I get you cater to an older crowd, but your entire business model shouldn’t be stagnant train. In summary, food was cold, overpriced, and sooo much is left to be desired. First, and last time eating at this “business.”

Excellent food friendly atmosphere and excellent service. Short of help like every other place in town. They still manage to get it done though

Rude and impolite staff. Who lie and say they didnt see you sitting and seat others around you. While making you wait over an hour. Just to be able to sit their friends. Not worth stopping by.

Great food. Good service. Reasonable price.

I love mom and pop places like this , enjoyed my country fried steak so much I’m always traveling through Jamestown for work so when I can stop and grab a bite that is especially this enjoyable it makes my day all the better the food was cooked just right was hot enough that I knew it was freshly cooked yet not hot enough to burn my taste buds next time I will be back for the cakes thank you Jamestown for a little slice of heaven

Excellent Biscuits… gravy is powered but still amazing. Made with real sausage.

The food is ok, service is lacking. There was hardly anyone in here and it still took 15 minutes for our server to come to our table. We had to ask for refills despite the obvious empty glasses at the edge of the table. While waiting for our food we saw an employee wipe sweat off his head and proceed to directly handle food with this hands without washing them. We dont plan on coming back.
