Review of Hornbacher's
Hornbacher's: A Fargo Staple for Over 70 Years
Hornbacher's is a grocery store and coffee shop located in Fargo, North Dakota. Since 1951, this family-owned business has been providing the community with high-quality groceries, meats, and produce. The store is open every day from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, making it a convenient option for busy shoppers.
One of the standout features of Hornbacher's is its deli, bakery, and floral departments. The deli offers a wide selection of sandwiches, salads, and hot foods, making it a great spot for a quick lunch or dinner. The bakery produces fresh bread, pastries, and cakes daily, and the floral department offers beautiful arrangements for any occasion.
While Hornbacher's has a great selection of products, some customers have noted that the prices can be higher than competitors. However, the store's customer service is consistently praised, with friendly and helpful staff members. The store is also known for being clean and well-organized.
Overall, Hornbacher's is a beloved local business that has been a part of the Fargo community for generations. Whether you're in need of groceries, a quick meal, or a beautiful bouquet of flowers, Hornbacher's is a great option.

Always clean, the staff is always friendly, and the selection is always great. The only down side is they are one of the spendy-er grocery stores in the area but to me it's worth it.

I would give this place a higher rating if I didn't I know for a fact that the management is trying to mimic what Walmart does in its bakery. A lot of the reason why people go to Hornbacher's is the fact that they want something better than what Walmart or Target offer. Sometimes even looking for more differentiation than Cash Wise offers. Please know that they are definitely playing with words when they say fresh baked daily. It was baked, not made. Almost all of their bakery products are pulled from a freezer and baked off in that fashion. It's sad to see a brand that grew so much and was built upon freshness and community not be open about their direction and what they want to accomplish.

Hornbacher's was the store I went to on 11th Street in Moorhead as a child in the '80's and into my adult life. My grandparents shopped there in the 1950's. I now shop at the Osgood store. But, the story is clear. This store has been a part of my entire life. It gives me great comfort to continue to walk into these fantastically run stores.

I have a love-hste relationship with all the Hornbacher's, particularly the one on 32nd Ave S. I like shopping there and the selection and service are good, but every time I shop there they are out of something on my list. Every time.

Hornbachers is a slightly upscale grocery store. The staff are always cheerful and helpful. Prices are a tad higher than elsewhere. But the cost difference is made up in service
