High Five Coffee

The Cubano is delicious and I highly recommend. However the service is below average. The person who was working was not helpful or friendly. We got our own bagels out of the toaster? My friend also had a negative interaction on a separate occasion with the same employee.

I honestly can't recommend this place enough.

The coffee is fantastic, the people are wonderful, and the location is the icing on the cake. Being able to have a lovely coffee on the riverside (also surrounded by lovely dogs being taken for riverside walks...) was brilliant. Came here multiple times on our trip to Asheville.

Cool venue by the River. Very nice staff. Smaller building so ordering and waiting was pretty tight. Limited menu, great for basic coffee but if you’re thing is unique flavors and frappes…this isn’t the spot for you.

I've probably already written a review, but I'm moving out of state and wanted to give one last shoutout! I've been coming to this location for about 5 years now and it became a very meaningful spot to me. I probably came here 3 times a week for 5 years. At certain points, I didn't live close to this location but I would drive out of my way to go here. I appreciated all the wonderful baristas who I got to know and who seemed to genuinely enjoy their job. I also loved that the mocha sauce was made in house and the perfect balance of sweet. This shop set a quality standard for me! My last stop before leaving was here. Sean (what a HOMIE!) made my drink and bid me farewell. Is that man not the nicest human on the planet?? I'll miss this spot and all the times I read by the river with my favorite iced mocha. Thanks for regular pick me up, guys! You will be missed! -Haley

Arguably the best coffee shop in Asheville! Such a cute spot.

We visited for the first time yesterday. It was super chilly on our walk along the river, so we decided to stop for a tasty hot chocolate. My fiancé went to pick it up, as I hadn’t brought as mask with me. So I waited excitedly. First I heard them ask if he’d like to leave a tip, I get it, but maybe just have a tipping option or jar instead of asking customers this. I’ve worked as a bartender and find this tacky. But either way, I was still looking forward to my hot chocolate to warm me up. After a little wait, he finally came back, with a cup smaller than I was expecting, again, okay... but what I was most disappointed by, was that my hot chocolate, was just lukewarm chocolate... it was like it had been sitting awhile. The taste was delicious, but I’m sure it hadn’t been made fresh. This was very disappointing. My hot chocolate did not warm me up ☹️
