Haywood 209 Cafe

Great food and awesome service! Let me say the grilled broccoli is so yummy! The teens loved the fired catfish and tater tots. Fresh banana pudding and pie! Plus $120 for 7 people was a great price for drinks, food, and desserts. We totally recommend this cafe!

We came into this establishment with quite low expectations, with it being attached to a gas station. Upon walking in, we immediately felt welcomed. Our server, Chyann, took our orders seamlessly and chatted with us while our food was being made. Not one of us could tell that she was new. We were then offered a complimentary cake for my coworkers birthday by the staff.

What an amazing environment it was. Genuine kindness exuded from each of these amazing workers. Alexis was a HOOT. After such a hard long day, it was so refreshing to talk and laugh with these servers. My mood has been heightened so much, upon leaving the restaurant.

Haley, Marissa, and McKayla we’re so pleasant to speak to. Whoever hired this staff did a fantastic job. When was the last time you went to dinner and left knowing all of the servers by name? 10/10 best eating experience I’ve had in a long time. Not to mention the food was great too.. lol.

Shoutout to my girls in the 209! Thank you for making my not so great day FANTASTIC. Also thanks for the brownie ;)

Haywood 209 Cafe was a pleasant surprise. Having to make an unscheduled stop for gas, we decided to eat here also. It is clean, with clean restrooms as well. A changing table is available in the well lit bathroom. The restaurant staff was pleasant and prompt. We did not have to wait on anything. The portions are a good size. It has nice seating. As our 2 year old exclaimed " nice couch! ( booth)". I got the turkey bacon club. Fresh ingredients, tasty tomato and lettuce ( not what you get at most diners I have been to), even the toasted sourdough bread was good. My daughter got a pulled pork sandwich. It was reported as delicious 😋. We also got 2 cinnamon buns for the road and I believe they were the best I have ever eaten. I would not hesitate to eat here again. Sorry, I didn't take pictures.

Let me start out by saying if I could give less than 1 star I would. My friends and myself ate here for breakfast last year around this same time of year and had great service, even had a waitress that was top notch and quick on the draw. When we ate here last year she was getting our drink order and I asked "do you have anything wet?" Her response was quick, left me speechless, and I don't know how many shades of red. We all decided to go back there again this year. We had a party of 10 and they arranged the tables for our party. Then they came out and said they didn't have any eggs so my wife and I left since we are on a Keto diet. As we were pulling off, one from our party flagged us down and said that they told them they could not wait on our party. You can rest assured that I will NEVER step foot back in that EXCUSE for a restaurant again. To the owner I say take my advice and put your "out of business" sign up and close down while you still have SOME dignity.

I ate there by happenstance of needing gas and it was delicious! I’ll definitely make it a point to stop there again next time I’m passing through.

Consistently excellent. Reasonably priced, great menu, and fantastic service no matter what time of day you stop in.
