Benelux Cafe

Absolutely lovely place to spend some casual time.
The atmosphere is positively mellow and the staff are very down to earth friendly.
I highly recommend for a good sit-down cup of coffee/pastry/sandwich.

Monday 2/22/2022 was my first time visisting Benelux Cafe. Upon entering the coffee shop, I informed the the barista who was on duty for night shift that this is my very first time here. I arrived there 20 mins before the closing time and the barista seemed to be upset that he had to get off of his iphone and assist me. My order was a latte and a slice of banana bread. He kept repeating "I was in the midddle of starting to close up the shop, but I guess I can grab that for you." He seemed annoyed and did not make my first visit pleasurable. While he made my order, I took a look around the cafe and realized how dirty it was and was disguested. Tables were dirty, trash on the floor, and etc. Honestly, my latte was average. I'm also a vlogger and wanted to vlog my experience to boost more clientle for this cafe. I decided not to vlog, as I plan to never return to this cafe, as Raleigh offers plenty of coffee shops that will provide a clean atmosphere and excellent customer service.

Great location in Cameron Village for a cup of coffee. They have variety and plenty of distanced seating.

I understand why thay have a 93 by the health department. As I was waiting for my food I see the 2 people making the waffles not washing there hands as one is putting food in her mouth around the food they are cooking as well as the other is touching his clothes with his gloves on and wiping his nose with his sleeve of his shirt with the same gloves on. So i did say something about it and all the guy did was change his gloves no wasing of hands nothing. I personally have been a food manager for years and that is not food safety at all someone needs to get there management on this ASAP...

Another cool cafe! There's a good variety of seating from a couch to a big table to a table for two. Despite all the seating, they are popular, and when they're busy, there is nowhere to sit. Their drinks are good. They have all the basic flavors you're looking for. But where they really excel is their waffles and their many waffle toppings! Goes perfectly with the coffee :)

Man, I don't know what happened but the waffles don't taste the same. It was 1 of my favorite places to get waffles and now after that last visit, it's not. There was absolutely no taste, my first thought was how empty it tasted. They also gave to much strawberries to go, and the whipped cream went flat (but I expected that). There was no syrup as well, and I don't fancy the to go boxes. Maybe they'd taste better if I had dined in? HA shouldn't have made a difference. I just won't go back, too bad.

Chai tea latte was divine. Service was fast and friendly. Every table was taken when we arrived so I can tell this is a popular hang out/work/study spot.

This is a neat little place. We have driven past it numerous times, though never actually decided to stop in; I was glad we finally did! The waffles aren't extraordinary or anything, but they're good, served well/look nice, and have some decent topping options. If you want a waffle, but don't want to go to Waffle House or Denny's, I'd recommend this business. The latte I bought was also pretty good, and it's simply just a cool place to sit around and chat, especially with the giant coffee bean mural. Parking around there can be a little tricky though, so keep that in mind; you'll probably have to walk further than other places to get in.

My absolute favorite coffee shop in the Raleigh area!! Great selection of baked goods and food (some vegan/gluten friendly) and amazing drinks. Staff is always so nice. I go there at least once a week.

This place has gone severely downhill since the change in ownership/management. Baristas also got my order incorrect twice one Saturday. I used to love this place but sadly I wont be back.
