I went there first time, it took a minute to find it specifically if you are coming from the other side and not from right front roadside of it. Nondescript front but inside is beautiful and record holding. There was no orange juice, so I make do with lemonade. Here comes the very charming and informally sweet owner Mr. Jeff, who entertained us with lovely conversations, actual facts and free sampling of mint chocolate and chocolate covered pretzels. He regaled us with the history behind the wall to wall panoramic painting totally made up of variety of coffee beans of various hues, being in Guinness Records for such feat. Decorations are eclectic and variety with French flag and some jewelry for sale. Clientele is mixed, mostly on younger side and few college crowds. Good vibes, clean bathrooms and good book collection and must visit at least once place…

Came here for the waffle. Was NOT disappointed. Topped with bacon, Nutella, and bacon. They even sprinkled some powdered sugar. Bottled Sprite for my drink. I loved it! Filling and delicious. Comfy lofi cafe vibes. ☕️✨️

Amazing! Came into town for a wedding, coffee was NEEDED the next morning lol. Found this place down the street. Walk the extra 30 yards past Starbucks, trust me it’s worth it!! Sweet cream nitro cold brew was a great choice!

The place was a little interesting inside, but the seating was nice with lots of room. The service was good and the coffee was decent. I enjoyed my Chai Latte.

Very slooow service but worth the wait. Nice people, great coffee, and delicious quiche. You need to come here. You’ll thank me later.

Amazing espresso, helpful staff, and the breakfast menu, while limited, is pretty good. Only complaint: the food was a bit on the cool side.

The first time I went to this little café was when I visited Raleigh a couple years ago and I wasn't impressed due to staff being a little rude and the coffee being a bit harsh. Since then, I recently decided to go back and give it another go.
I must have got unlucky the first time or they noticed the problem and made adjustments.
The coffee shop had fantastic coffee and great pastries! Some of them are made in house and some aren't. The staff will tell you which are if you want something they made, but to help out the muffins are made by them.
I got a mocha and a Nutella chocolate banana bread muffin. The muffin was delicious and the coffee was good quality. Everyone seemed friendly and helpful making this a nice little experience.
The interior is nicely decorated and the tables are good enough to set up and work from. A calming atmosphere without it being too loud.

They serve waffles as good as it gets outside Belgium! The staff is welcoming and they know how to make what you want. We shared the madam with strawberries and Nutella! What can't I say!?!? Oh do I love me a delicious Belgian waffle!!

Very nice atmosphere and tasty waffles, but any food that's not a waffle is subpar.
Also, while the staff is very friendly, service has taken a nosedive in the last few months, with many forgotten and wrong orders. It's clear that this is an issue with understaffing and not the employees themselves, who are working extremely hard given what they have to work with.
Hire more employees and maybe I'll be back soon.
To reply to the owner's response:
This wasn't just today, I (and others I've talked to) have noticed a drop in service quality over the last several months. It's not an isolated incident.

Ordered beans to go, a cortado and a waffle. Waffle was salty instead of sweet. I didn't hear the cortado being called and asked nicely about it. Literally said "hey guys I ordered a cortado a while ago..." In a soft voice. The white blond barista felt it was time to become KarenTM and cut me off saying "I call it ten times I'll make another one" in the most unwelcoming tone. I left, I was concerned the barista would add extra salt or spit on my coffee, because I guess it personally offended her I didn't hear my order despite the shop not being busy, the line being empty, and she laying back talking to the other barista and on her phone. I used to be a barista myself and I don't remember ever treating a customer this poorly for being distracted with their conversation. I wish I had gone to McDonald's, they offer better service at the drive through than this barista.
