The Bean

Been trying a new smoothie flavor every time i go, and not been disappointed so far! Used to always get the ice cream as a kid and it was always a hit, in a great location if you're looking to sit outside and enjoy your treat. Service can be slightly hit or miss and the inside seating area is small, but minor things in comparison to how good it is.

Great local spot for coffee and baked goods. I usually visit at least once when I'm in town. The apple cinnamon scones are phenomenal. They also have ice cream.

This is the best morning spot in town for those wanting a cheerful, not rushed start to the day. Elevator on site for stair challenged knees and those with a nice set of wheels who never have to look for the best seat in the house.
Friendly and convenient.

Coffee was good. Location is great. Slightly rude service. The only real problem was a group of people who were sitting together. They took congregated around a table near the counter, making it difficult for other customers to get service. When they got up to leave, they just pushed past everyone. No excuse me, nothing. Very rude people who seemed to feel privileged. Not the cafe's fault there are jerks in the town.

Oriental has the best locals. We loved everyone we met and brought the dogs to enjoy their patio (although I believe Elwood peed on a guys shoe). Cool Features - They have dog treats inside and they have coffee ice cubes for your iced coffee. GREAT IDEA.

Sailed into Oriental three times this year. Fortunate to tie up at the town dock with The Bean right across the street. I can't imagine a better place to get coffee and a bagel. A big thanks to the staff - one friendly person.

Fantastic ice cream and coffee stop. Great service and reasonable prices make this a place to visit if you want a coffee or ice cream.

Thank you so much for such a fun & delicious treat! Affagato (over chocolate ice cream...yum!), Norma Backwards (over the top with coconut ice cream-good grief), double scoop ice cream & excellent cranberry cookie...just the treat the four of us needed to complete our enjoyment of the fun car show & free ferry ride back to Cherry Point . Cheers from Texas y'all, you have a lovely town to visit.

Cute shop, friendly staff, and DELICIOUS ice cream! The smell in there is incredible.
