Great small town diner experience ! Walked in at 10:30 could get breakfast OR lunch. Both were delicious, portion size perfect- left filled but not stuffed. Prices were excellent plus we got 10% off for being veterans. LOVED the BIBLE verses and vet decor. Waitresses very friendly and efficient. Would definitely eat here again !!

One of the few restaurants that serves a full meal in historic Lansing. Service was friendly and prompt. We enjoyed our western omelet, grits, biscuit and oatmeal which took 25 minutes to arrive. Prices are very fair (above with 1 drink totaled $15). Giving 4 stars due to the amount of time taken to prepare the meal.

Update: At first, I was really sad they had to move to Lancing, but whats 5 extra minutes of driving when the food remains great and the service is top notch. They are now open on Saturday, which i love AND are doing dinner... They may not be in West Jefferson anymore, BUT they have only improved with the move.
This is my absolute favorite breakfast place in town! The eggs and bacon are perfectly cooked to order, and they have the best sweet tea in town. Also their staff is great and makes you feel like an old friend.

I visited around 1:15 thinking the noon rush was over, but had to wait till another patron left before I could park. Upon entering I was informed of a 30 minute wait, even though I saw 3 empty tables with 4 chairs. I decided to order a burger to go, and over 30 minutes later still hadn't got my order. Two men came in about 20 minutes after I did and I gathered that they were locals, were served plate meals 10 minutes before I got my togo burger. I noticed 4 or 5 people in the kitchen, and wondered why such a delay in getting my burger. Other than taking much too long every thing else was OK. Total time to get a togo burger was 45 minutes. I drove about 5 minutes to a place to eat the burger and was disappointed. I will not return and not recommend unless you want to wait a long time.

I visited here after going to the mount Jefferson state park. It was close by. I got a really big, really good burger, and some onion rings. The young woman that helped me was quick and nice, and seemed to be handling everyone in the restaurant with the same efficiency. The prices were, also, very affordable. I would definitely eat here again, if in the neighborhood.

Staff are so friendly and sweet. It can be a little slow because they are usually very busy, but the food is good and is a good price and portion size.

Excellent lunch special today and service was great and everyone was inviting and friendly. A great meal that did not break the bank๐๐

Our family loves this place. Two waitresses running the show but they have a wonderful attitude. Any wait experience gives you more time to reflect on the veterans whose names and faces line the walls or in the word of God on the white board. Can't imagine a better place to be.

A bit crowded for seating but good food and friendly staff.

We walked in and sat for 15 minutes. Two waitresses acknowledged us but never came over. The handful of folks that came in after us were friends of the staff and were very well taken care of. One guy had coffee before he even sat down. We were never even offered a menu. After the 15 minutes we just left.
