Lovick's Cafe

Nice little restaurant where we had a quick little breakfast while we were in town. The service was quick and friendly. I was intrigued by the Hawaiian omelet, which was an omelet with breakfast meats and pineapples. It was very good, although a bit greasy. Great place to get some good food.

Great food here, and always great service. The breakfast selection is as you'd expect, and I highly recommend the French toast. I have yet to try the famous dough-burger, but with all of the other menu items, I don't mind. Eat here at least one Saturday morning every month.

I moved down here from up North, and my new home's fridge, thanks to Covid, wasn't being shipped to us any time soon. Looking for the right food place for my family on Doordash, I came across Lovick's. I saw that they had great reviews, so I gave them a try. Mannnn when I tell you they have the best southern food around here...THEY DO! Coming from a southern family, I always looked for places that cooked meals just like grandma. My mom, who is 83 years old, was so pleased with the food. Lovick's have reasonable prices, and everything your heart desires is on the menu. They have everything! I have been ordering from them since July. When I order from them, I know I am getting good food quality and excellent presentation every time for my family. One day when this invisible virus is over, my family and I would love to go and sit down in Lovick's and enjoy a delicious southern meal. Thank you Lovick's Cafe. 😊

As a business owner in the City of Kinston and a native of Dover, North Carolina. My family have always been patrons of Lovick's Cafe. Today was my last day. I doubt I will return.

This is a great breakfast place, but go early - it gets crowded fast!

The food is over priced due to the inconsistency of the cooks. The vegetable omelet order was with no brown or crust on it, well guess what? It was exactly just that. This is every time ordered. Never when ordered was it right three times to be exact. This place has customers that has visited for a long time. The prices charged and the presentation is not advertising to my taste or palate. Still this place do have good stewed apples. However, the pancake are on the tuff side and over sized for the plate they are served on. Additionally, the last times visited two of their waitresses are too busy to remember the customers complete orders. In my opinion, they are over priced and believe they are a competition with the more upscale resturant in the area but you are not. Please get back to your level and please drop your prices, or find better staff and definitely better cooks please. This is based on your breakfast cook and menu alone.

Good food.Helpful staff. Fair prices. The restaurant is upgrading the building. Still good food. Very busy this morning. A lengthy wait for the food to be served. I will still recommend this store 🏬.

It was good. My only complaint is I ordered my eggs scrambled well and it had some runny in the middle. Everything else was great.

A great small town, local favorite.
Friendly staff, clean, good food and plenty of off street parking in the back.
Will definitely return.

I was not impressed with my burger at all. I was under the impression that they made the actual patty. The atmosphere is a bit disturbing to say the least. I probably won't purchase food there again
