Great diner! We have eaten here twice now, no complaints. Good food, good portions, great service! My husband said it was the best pancake he'd had in a long while.

Great Southern restaurant with a family atmosphere. Great breakfast with country ham and fresh sausage. Sherica who was my waitress very friendly with excellent customer service skills.
Dark Side
This place is always busy, they don't stay open all day and closed on Sundays. It stays clean as busy as it is. For service alone they could get a 5 star rating. However the lack of ingredients is a little annoying, food took a little longer than expected. Cindy was amazing, she provided the best service I've seen in this town.

It's a decent place. Its more for people of older generations to meet and talk and have cheap breakfast. The food is okay, but if you're looking for an authentic southern dining experience this is the place to go.
Also, strangers may try to start a conversation with you. Fair warning.

I came here for the first time ever, and I wasn't disappointed! I got the doughboy burger and it was amazing! Staff was really friendly as well. Only cons I have are the hours because I wish they were open more or longer hours because it was hard for me to catch them when they are open. But when ever I'm back in town I'm coming back here!

The home of the famous "Dough Burger". I got one and it was great! A three generation locally owned and operated business that is a must visit when you come to town. They also have a room for meeting if needed. of his community.

This place is amazing!!!! Food is cheap and the home fries are to die for. Also they sell their coffee mugs for $5 in cute little gift bags which is adorable. 10/10 would recommend

Great food at a fair price. If more places would charge a more fair price, perhaps those places would make more money because more folks could afford to go there. Until that time, Lovick's is the place to go. The waitstaff was fabulous today as well!

Our waitress was excellent. While we were there, they served a homeless man with food. That enough is worth going there to support them. We both got a vegetarian omelette- they were a little runny. The hash browns and grits were delicious. The biscuits were good, but not my favorite kind; they're more like a yeast roll than a flakey biscuit. Coffee was FANTASTIC.

Great staff, always friendly even in the wee hours of the morning. A server there, I believe his name was Jonathan, is an amazing help. Very friendly, very personable. The cashier staff is equally amazing. This place is one of Kinston's staples. Lovick's, Hawks nest, and Jesse Bell's. The only names in food you need to know around here.
