Yum!
This place was delicious! I had the meatloaf sandwich with a side of brussel sprouts...both were out of this world. My husband got the French onion chicken sandwich with a side of truffle fries and he is still talking about it. The servers were fast and friendly. Don't pass this place by.

My husband and I just happened to stop in after a beautiful scenic drive. What an absolute treasure! I got the crispy Brussels, the best I have eaten in my life! My husband ordered the ultimate BLT with pimento cheese and a runny egg. Holy cow! What a find! Great food in a beautiful setting!

Great place, really nice things. We caught a little holiday festival there. The country band was AWESOME!

Finally stopped in for a bite after an afternoon of clays at Fowler Farms with 2 buddies who came from Asheville and Leicester. Absolutely a New Orleans worthy spicy chicken sandwich going under the Nashille Hot Fried Chicken - fries were perfect, and topped with a fantastic home made lemonade. Our server was a great guy, took good care of us, and our one vegetarian got the Pimento Sandwich. All 3 of us middle aged men loved our meals, and we found this a great central, halfway point, back road place to meet up again (I live in Upper Crabtree). We just need to help them get their beer/wine/liquor license as they're in a dry county! Amazing food!!

Excellent place to take a break and grab some Great comfort food. Super country style atmosphere and menu. The menu has a nice variety. The food was cooked and delivered to our table hot and fast. The food was fresh and tested great. The rockers on the front porch were super after the full belly effect took place.

Nice place to stop when you are out riding. The gentleman working spent several minutes talking with us telling us about the area.

The store was great the restaurant needs work. The meatloaf sandwich was billed as "The Best" yet it was a tasteless heartburn bomb. The BLT came with what appeared be an grossly undercooked egg. The staff dropped a corn muffin and literally sent three people by the table to tell us they were going to replace a quarter size corn muffin. No ice for drinks, and no tea...no tea in the south is a restaurant sin. I've stopped here for years under other restaurant management and it was okay, but there was nothing on this food visit worth remembering. It's like they have zero restaurant training whatsoever. Don't waste your money.

We almost rode by but decided to stop..good decision. We had lunch there. The blt and fries, the blt was the best i ever had anywhere and the truffle fries were fantastic. We had mint iced tea for our drinks that was excellent also.
I can usually find something to criticize a restaurant for, but not here. I will definitely return.

Used to love this little cafe but the last two times I've been in to eat it has a been very disappointing. I love the store and most of the staff is wonderful. Hope you guys get a real cook in soon though. Until then I won't be dining at the cafe. Food was cold with little flavor. Had two rock hard little pieces of what was supposed to be garlic bread that were inedible. The spaghetti and marinara tasted like it came from a can, not worth $11. It's not that hard to make fresh spaghetti and marinara from scratch. The chicken was like a compressed processed patty that was luke warm. I have heard the "cook" say, on multiple occasions, that she had no idea what she's doing. I'm sure it's hard to find good cooks out in the mountains, but it is really bringing down the vibe there and certainly the food quality has taken a hit. I'll stick to eating from the store.
