Dillsboro Chocolate Factory

What's not to like about REAL chocolate?! Try their fudge AND their dark semi-sweet offerings. Fun just walking around the Dillsboro "downtown" neighborhood and visiting the Factory in their old house - if only to look at their many varieties of chocolate...and collections of robust coffees. "Smells are free!"

A nice chocolate shop in a quaint town. The prices are extraordinarily high.

Coffee is Ok. A bit on a bitter side. Chocolates are wonderful. Need to wash and paint their entrance door. And windows need to be painted as well. Piling paint in a coffee shop is not healthy. Someone wrote a year ago that they are understaffed with one person working on 2 cash registeres selling both coffee and chocolates. And the place replied that they hire more people during the peak season. We visited on an afternoon in July. It was still 1 person doing both things. However, she was very quick and professional. And when more customers arrived someone from the "back office" (who had been working making chocolates) came and offered help! This was great. By the way, you can see how they make chocolates. This is fascinating. Though they take/touch peacans with their bare hands before they dip them in warm chocolate to cover it with chocolate. Looks delicious anyways!

Highly recommend! Home made fudge and gourmet chocolates are delicious! Their chocolate is perfect and the creative treats they make with it are great! Great selection of treats, beef jerky and a coffee bar! Owner and staff are always wonderful!

Unexpectedly amazing chocolates. We tried the fudge and several of the truffles. Fudge was great, the truffles are life-changing. Latte was also lovely. These are addictive!

We usually stop by this shop when we are in town. I can't comment on the coffee's, but the chocolate is very good. I love the cinnamon and peppermint dark chocolates. The Aztec dark chocolate is to spicy and hot for me. The sea salt dark chocolate is to salty to me. Everyone's taste is different and there's definitely something for everyone. Nice atmosphere.

Such a sweet place...pun intended...the girl that was working was very helpful and let us try some different fudge before purchasing. The fudge & salted carmels were excellent!!! They also have fancy coffees & truffles & other candy & homemade dog treats & art from local folks & other items for sale. There's also a guestbook you can sign & put a pin in the map to represent where you're from. They have seating inside & outside also.

I am so surprised very goo tasting chocolate coffee beans and amazing licorice - so soft and delicious. I felt very welcome by Julie, who works there. There is a huge assortment. Good quality at a reasonable price! Thank you for the nice assortment of sugar free chocolates.

The Cinnamon Bun fudge is to die for! Friendly staff and quick service with a smile.
