Love the atmosphere, the delicious coffee and treats. We bought my mother in law a bag of decaf coffee for Christmas as its her favorite coffee around this area and the order came with a free cup of coffee. Definitely a little more on the expensive side, but it is always quality ingredients and the staff know their stuff!

Worth the trip every time! Their espresso roast is very smooth, so any latte style drinks are amazing! Service is always friendly & even when it's a little slow it's only because they take time to make a good product!

Love the atmosphere here, especially on the back patio. Their lattes are always good too. Occasionally, the service comes with some hipster attitude, but most of the time, they're very friendly and welcoming.

Really nice people Ina froo-froo atmosphere. The couple in front of me spent five minutes talking to the employee about sugar content of all the different milk substitutes that were possible for their coffees as though it made any difference at all. Silly. It was way cooler when the theme was climber-cool ... No one uses the project board anymore but the coffee is good. Just get a cup of black coffee and move on!

The staff is super nice and the location is perfect. However, the drinks are undrinkable. I ordered a cappuccino and wasn't sure what it is that I was drinking. I'm not sure if the milk was sour, or if the coffee was diluted / burnt, or if the mug was just unclean (they hand wash everything). There were so many bad flavors going on that for the most part they canceled one another out, but the overall effect was undrinkable. I thought it would be better when it cooled and it wasn't. The next day I went back for just a straight coffee because that's hard to mess up, and same thing. I'm not sure what it was that I was drinking, but it was not coffee.
The place is super cute and quaint, and I love supporting small businesses. But I am not sure how people can write solid reviews of the beverages here, unless they're not really java drinkers.

Nice place to go for live music when they have it. Very chill atmosphere and great coffee. Staff are friendly and patrons are sociable. Nice little place to go in Davidson, right by the college, and not far at all from Cornelius.

Summit is my local coffee shop. I don't go often because I can make good coffee and teas at home. It's vibe is OK, but the ground floor is one skinny room with tables squeezed between the coffee station and wall, and there is usually a line of people, and people passing through, which makes it kind of claustrophobic and noisy for me. There is a quiet upstairs and also nice outside terrace (only when the weather is good), so if you want to spend some time writing poetry or chatting on-line, those are the places to hang. They have regular music upstairs, but usually it's been too loud for me. In the summer, when someone is playing on the outside stage, that's the best. All in all a decent place with all the standard coffees, and a small selection of snacks. But it's a 5 minute walk from my house, and definitely worth it. I always prefer the atmosphere of small locally-owned places, which always trumps the smaller inconveniences.

What you would expect a coffee shop should be. Great selection of good coffee. Super nice staff. Live music usually Thursday through Saturdays. Many time outside. Had a recent, much needed, update upstairs. Downtown Davidson is getting busy though, so watch out for parking issues.

Such a unique and adorable coffee house! My cappuccino was delicious and I loved my latte art and drinking it out of a mug. There's a wood bench lining one wall that you can sit on. Pillows line the bench to make your sit more comfortable on your back. There's an upstairs to sit, which I didn't go up to. There's also a nice deck out back, but it was raining so I stayed inside. Also, they offer wine and beer!
