Perfect little ice cream and coffee shop in a small town area. This place is always busy because it is such a gem. I have been here many times. They have a wide selection of ice cream and different coffees and mixed coffees. We usually get milk shakes. There isn't much seating inside- just a few tables. There is more outside. Plus it is near the river and park, so you can easily walk in nicer weather and enjoy your treat and nature at the same time. Plenty of parking around the place or nearby. When we kayak at the river, we ALWAYS stop here afterwards for a treat. Never disappoints!

Great place for ice cream or coffee. Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere.

Always perfect, this place is the best hidden gem in Gaston County. These folks rent kayaks for 20 bucks for all day too!! Do yourself a favor and get some coffee and dessert from these guys. You won't be disappointed!

Greg the owner is fantastic. He hires only the best of the best. I've been going here since 2015, and in 3 years I have never had a bad experience. The coffee is amazing, the atmosphere is phenomenal, and it is right on the water, which makes for a great view if you want to sit outside. I recommend this place to anybody that is serious about the coffee they drink and top notch service. Thank you, Greg, and all the staff at F&B

Gaston County's best kept secret! 🤫
Been in plenty of times (husband's cousin lives down the street), but yesterday I stopped in my our daughter and a friend from church who had never been. Got affogatos! 🍦

This place has the best milkshakes for miles! It's kind of like a mom and pop "Starbucks" without the pretentiousness. Anyone visiting this place will feel right at home and welcomed with a warm smile. 😊
I would like to add, the items are priced fairly. The food proportions are huge and well worth it. If you decide to visit this location then I strongly suggest the praline and pecan milkshake.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Everyone is totally unprofessional and rude. One of the employees called a customer a c**t because she knew her outside of the shop and had no consequences. There is no reason that "God" should be in their slogan because they are doing everything except honor God. They allow employees to come behind the counter and refill their own coffee, which is unsanitary and yet again, unprofessional. The employees bash customers, don't respect each other, and are very lazy when it comes to sanitation. The owner has no place running a business, especially when he can't remember that he pulled money from the drawer. He has made several serious accusations such as stealing against employees and has had to apologize numerous times. Now maybe I would add another star if they at least had good coffee, but unfortunately they don't. Their expresso machine is constantly broken, and I have seen customers return their drinks because the shots were sour (and if you've ever had a sour shot, you would know that it tastes just about as bad as spoiled milk). After visiting both shops numerous times, I have found that Fryedays coffee roasters has FAR better coffee, machinery, and employees. They also have live music, which is a nice plus! I met the owner, and she seems to be a professional and RATIONAL person that knows how to run a business! I would encourage the people at Floyd and Blackies to stick to the kayaking business, because at least they will have less complaints about their terrible service.

Cute place, the only reason I am giving it 3 stars is because the employees took up a large table that customers could have used, the employees were extremely LOUD talking, playing a game, talking about their dating lives etc. It's a cute coffee/ice cream shop that people come and bring their laptops and can work, but you don't want to stay long because of how loud the employees are.
