Groundwork Common

We went for coffee for my wife. She enjoyed the Coco latte with oat milk! Cute atmosphere with seating inside and outside.

A quiet and unassuming shop with a delightfully delicious surprise. The coffee is roasted and brewed to perfection, absolutely flavorful. You can taste all the delicate floral notes in their brew. Groundwork Common was well worth the couple of extra minutes drive off of my beaten path. I would highly recommend. Try their homemade syrup’s!

Loved the simple and relaxing atmosphere. Music selection was on point. The barista was friendly and helpful. They had gluten free vegan oat muffin that was unbelievably delicious, and the coffee is better quality and better tasting than anything a chain store can throw together. Go visit! You won't be disappointed.

My criteria for a coffee shop is as follows:
- Local beans not roasted to death
- Homemade latte sauces
- Baristas who know what they're doing
This place checks all those and then some. They got a nice small menu with local food items.

Update to my original review. They are now roasting their own beans in house. Jacob does a quality job here. It’s my go to now for beans when I make brew at home. Tell them your equipment you have at home and they can probably help you get dialed in.

First time visit to this nice local coffee shop after a nice F3 workout in Concord. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The place was clean and inviting. There was plenty of seating inside and outside in the front. The coffee was good (I had the fresh brewed coffee) and the iced coffee and espresso brews looked really tasty. I saw they made their own cinnamon rolls and other pastries. And they make their own local syrups. I will be back with the fam!

Finally. A high-quality coffee shop in Concord. All these years I’ve been driving to Charlotte to get good quality espresso. But now just down the street I can visit Groundwork Common and get the great quality coffee that I enjoy the most.
And you must give the pastries a try. Even if you’re typically a healthy eater, these are worth the diversion. It’s all healthy ingredients and the taste is beyond description. The best pastries I’ve had at any coffee shop and I travel extensively.
The owner, the barista’s, and the baker are all very friendly and easy to talk to. A great social gathering place in a very comfortable venue. There was even live music when I stopped in Sunday afternoon.

Seriously best coffee shop out there. It’s been a while since I’ve been impressed by all aspects of a coffee shop but Groundwork Common does it. The coffee is wonderful and the housemade syrups are delightful. They have delicious pastries made everyday but make sure to go early because they go quick! The baristas are so friendly. I was so impressed when they remembered my name the second time I went back. The place itself is cozy and very aesthetically pleasing. Overall wonderful coffee house!

Very nice local coffee shop. I met an out of town coworker here for a six hour workday. The setting is modern and sleek. Coffee is excellent - more appropriate for serious coffee afficionados than for folks who are seeking dessert-style coffee drinks. The staff was extremely helpful. I'm a pumping mom, and when they realized I was going out to my car to pump they offered ice for my cooler. I'll go back often for coffee and great customer care!
