Duck Donuts

We stopped in here one morning in early May. This Duck Donuts is conveniently located in the same strip mall as Food Lion, other shops and eateries.

I had eaten breakfast already, so I was just looking for a hot coffee to go for our drive down to Hatteras. My husband wanted to get a donut.

My husband ended up ordering a donut breakfast sandwich, the kind you would typically get on an English Muffin or bagel. It was pretty cool, he could choose from a wide assortment of donuts, but he opted for a plain one. It's really awesome that the donuts are made to order, way better than the stale ones Dunkin' often has.

There were only 2 other parties in here ordering, it was a bit slow getting his food. I can't imagine coming in here at the peak time in the summer, but maybe they have more staff at that time.

In addition to food, they also sell some neat merchandise. Plenty of t-shirts, mugs and hats for sale.

There is SOME seating inside, but not a whole lot. This is a good breakfast alternative to a sit down restaurant, but if you are in a huge rush, it might be better to pick some up at the nearby grocery store.

So fresh and good, they make the donuts to order. Definitely on the pricey side, but more than worth it for how fresh and delicious they are. Love how you can choose the toppings you want for no extra charge. Overall, a fun and delicious experience.

Duck doughnuts is always a treat. Fantastic verity and fresh.

Never been before and it's a great experience. I love doughnuts and they make some of the best I ever had...this comes from a cop LOL

630 a.m. coffee was awesome. 830 p.m. donuts were fresh and made to order. Would definitely return. Dogs are welcome so my morning walk with the pup that led me past, welcomed me in for a morning treat

Made to order donuts that are served hot. They have a variety of flavors. Pleasantly surprised at how good they were. The blueberry icing was delicious.

If you want a beautiful, delicious, handcrafted donut and don't mind waiting 30+ minutes for it, then this is your place! And we arrived before the morning rush. The donuts are amazing though, so I'd recommend ordering ahead!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would! Went in to grab a sandwich for my daughter and I, thought something quick so we can start enjoying our day. This place was anything but quick! There were two people in front of me and 12 left before me! If you want anything besides cake covered in liquid sugar topped with even more sugar, then don’t bother. If you want something quick, go find a sit down restaurant. It literally took 50 minutes to get 2 sandwiches because the person in front of me ordered 5 sandwiches and they can only microwave one egg at a time. If you don’t want only donuts, that are slimy and gross by the time you drive 5 mins back to your house, don’t bother walking in.

Extremely friendly employees but the donuts were gross. I saw them come out of the fryer but the icing was steaming hot and I think it caused the donuts to become a soggy mess. Husband didn't finish his. We had icing all over our box and had to toss it as soon as possible due to fear of ants.

Love me some DUCK DONUTS.... THEY ARE AWESOME WISH WE HAD ONE IN ERIE PA OR JACKSONVILLE FLORIDA....
