Staff is always friendly and personable. They always offer high quality coffee for retail and they are always serving high quality coffees and teas. They always have pastries and snacks that vegan and gluten free. I usually get an iced oolong or whatever coffee they're serving on batch brew and it's always excellent.

Honey lavender oat milk iced coffee was amazing—they were able to accommodate decaf as well.

Lovely, intimate downtown Coffeeshop. Parking (as per all of downtown) is on the street or a nearby lot. Beautiful interior, with lush décor & smooth-stained wood. Amazing local pastry-selection, & top-notch beverages (these baristas do it right). Find a seat fast (it’s usually busy), or get it to-go.

Highly recommended good local coffee! Try the cortado you won’t be disappointed!

Very overpriced pastries. They don’t have price labels but they are $6 each— unable to find anywhere else.

Best latte I’ve had since moving back to the states from Australia. I forgot what a proper latte tasted like. Friendly staff, cool atmosphere and the avocado toast was delicious too.

TLDR: Yes!
Specialty coffee joint that looks and tastes like they know what they're doing.
Espresso: Delicious. I ordered the cappuccino (as always) and it was on the smaller side of cappuccini, almost cortado size I'd be curious to order a cortado to see what the difference is. The espresso was smooth and not bitter. The milk was frothed to perfection.
Vibe: Rowan combined the modern coffee shop vibe of dim lighting, dark floors and walls, with the classic cafes of Europe like Gili (Florence, IT) or a street cafe in Paris with marble and iron tables and wooden chairs that look like they're right out of a really old cafe. The Victorian-chic table decor and live plants around the room added a pop of brown/red and green. There's not a lot of seating, but that's not a big deal.
Overall 5/5 stars!
Thanks!

I’m not from Asheville but I love finding a coffee shop that KNOWS how to do coffee and this is the place! :) Beautifully macabre interior and very nice/kind baristas with style. The focaccia is salivating as well!!

We got regular coffee and a mocha. Mocha was lukewarm. Didn't have enough coffee in the carafe so they poured 1/2 cup . Let it sit for 10 mins while the new coffee brewed and then poured over it. Only after we complained they poured fresh coffee.

Tasteful decor. Good coffee. And the owner is nice 🙂
