Craig and Jenny are making some great, simple, and delicious food that’s worth the trip. We drove out from Kingston and we’re not disappointed. Great burger and great chicken sandwich. My kids loved (their words!) the grilled cheese with pickles. Keep it up!

I wish we had made it here sooner because the golden russet is a game changer. The food is great. The vibe is exactly our speed, and the grocery items are just what we need. It’s extremely comforting to know we have this excellent establishment just up the road from us. 🤍✨

According to two extremely reliable local sources who are frequent customers, Golden Russet cafe and bakery is top of the charts, pick of the crop, and all other superlative clichés you can imagine. I look forward to trying it out for myself on my next visit to greater metropolitan Schultzville.

Super sweet café that also carries all kinds of local goods and sundries. Definitely worth going out of your way to stop in for breakfast or lunch if you are exploring beautiful Dutchess county!

The Golden Russet has a wonderful selection of wines, ciders, and beers. Their breakfast sandwiches keep us coming back time and again. We had the pleasure of attending their inaugural clambake and rate the experience 10/10, especially Jenny’s whoopie pies!!

So happy to see this lovely eatery open again - and with fantastic, down to earth owners! The owners are friendly and the food is prepared with quick detail. Food is delicious and timely. Perfect place to stop while meandering through the woods or as a daily lunch stop (I’m sure my husband will frequent!). Can’t wait for the expanded menu :-)

We were their second customers ever during their soft opening. A very few rough patches but the bacon and egg sandwich I had was very good. New Yorkers won't be expecting the soft hamburger style roll they use but give them a chance!
