I’ve been to their Huntington and Northport locations and loved them, so I was so excited to see them come to Port Jeff! The coffee is so good. They have some seating inside, a few tables outside and a full food menu too. Highly recommend!

I’d never heard of the Famous Egg Sandwich, but its aspirations are justified. I suggest scrambled eggs with extra tomato butter, the spread paradoxically bringing everything together. The coffee is the best in town and made with knowledge and care. The atmosphere is bright and airy, and extends the downtown foot traffic several blocks past the beaten cement path. The staff has a different form of ADHD: Attentive, Driven, Hardworking, and Delightful. Over the last month, I’ve been fortunate to become a regular and get to know them.
Tim pours over coffee and conversation, but only one gets a filter. Liam grinds coffee with a headspin and ices it with a baby freeze. Sami greets you with a spritz of joy and disinfection. They make Iron Maiden sound like an audio massage at the end of your day. Caroline is the only one allowed to make the maple spice latte because she makes the daily commute from Vermont. This is my own mythology. Kaylynn mayykes coffyy whyyle keeping the shyyp running smoothlyy. On Sundays, TJ is a DJ that spins caffeine vinyl at 3,333⅓ rpm. It turns Black Sabbath Coffee into Alvin and the Dripmunks. Mojito Joe orders the kombucha cans. (“Hey Joe, I’m waiting patiently down the block, reclining on your beanbag seat. Let’s just do this peacefully so no one gets girt, got, or hurt. Same time, bruh… same time! You give me the minty bubbles, I’ll give you back your chair. Yankees in seven.”) And geewhiz, Liz. When I’m writing and wondering about the divided self, she butters my sandwich with sweet tomatoes inside my head, on both my bread brain and toasty consciousness.

I can taste how the beans are roasted differently than other places. Somehow? Ahh. I messed up the cappuccino design, but the orange haired guy who made this today did a good job. 10/10 almond cap. Interestingly, the coffee has so many bubbles! Which is different compared to other cappuccinos I’ve had.

This is a small little coffee shop but very nice. Not many areas to sit. we had to leave because there wasn't anywhere to sit. There wasn't a lot of options with the variety of coffee drinks to choose from but they did have what an individual can choose as options to make your own coffee. I like to try lots of already combined drink options so if that's your preference this isn't really the place for you. I did choose one of their coffee drinks. I believe it was a spicy maple latte and it was delicious. They had an array of bakery goods and food to choose from. I however came only for the coffee, but the food and baked goods looked fresh and delicious. Very well kept and super clean. The person I was with was not impressed but I thought it was a nice place.

I am obsessed with Southdown Coffee, and I'm so glad to live in Port Jeff Village since I'm always passing by it. If you're a coffee lover like I am, then I highly recommend the maple latte or the new cardamom latte which is so unique and delicious. I have tried about 4 different food items, and they all are yummy. My favorite bakery item is the chai spiced scone, and I loved the famous egg sandwich! I also ordered an entire polenta cake for Thanksgiving, and my family was obsessed with how unique it was. I can't wait to go back to Southdown and get some work done while enjoying the delicious coffee and food.

Coffee was very good but not excellent, main strength is the amazing big windows and aesthetic of the place. I would appreciate a more comfortable sitting area and for the whole place to be a bit warmer, but compared to the competition it’s a 5/5 option to study or just sit and enjoy a cup of coffee with friends or a book

Good coffee and I’m thankful to have a local roaster nearby. They have a nice menu as well but we’ve only ever picked up the coffee so far. We will have to check out some of the food selections soon.

This is the future of Suffolk County, or at least I hope it is. Every menu option has well picked ingredients and the coffee is beyond fantastic. The only thing that is missing is more sweet breakfast options, they have muffins and pastries but no french toast/pancakes/waffles.

Excellent coffee as well as super delicious baked goods, the Olive Oil Polenta Cake being my favorite. Extremely friendly staff, a very pleasant place to study or meet with friends, always good music on. Highly recommended, everything is consistently great👍

Unbelievably excellent coffee and surprising to see an expanding chain maintain its quality with no loss. The staff are also incredibly friendly and offer a small community-centric vibe that’s rare on Long Island
