I love this place and will definitely keep
returning. The staff are very friendly and
helpful. I have lived in Kingston since I
left the NORTHEAST CENTER FOR REHABILITATION & BRAIN INJURY where
I lived for a few years after receiving emergency brain surgery. I live by myself
in a small apartment and since I love
reading, I enjoy the opportunity to walk to
ROUGH DRAFT and grab a coffee and sit
and read in a different environment than
being home. Also, the people that frequent ROUGH DRAFT are congenial
and easy to relate to. I highly recommend
this place. Also-----their selection of
Books is fabulous😊

This place is a true gem. The name Rough Draft perfectly defines who they are about: Books, Coffee, and Beer. I love the book choices. Great coffee and alcohol selection. Great for families also.

Cozy bookstore in historic stone building, great selection of titles and good coffee and baked goods - chocolate chip cookies are amazing.

First time here. Really fun experience. Pet friendly bookstore with seating, work space, and a bar for coffee and/or beer/wine. I was overwhelmed with meeting puppies & looking around that I didn't notice if the offer food, but it is an excellent place to decompress.

Best coffee in the area. Strong! Terrific environment. Friendly staff. Most customers are friendly and respectful (can't control who comes into yr establishment, but the core are good people). Quite the social scene if you're looking for one. But also a great place to sit and work on your own. If you're new to Kingston or Ulster County, it should be one of your first stops. And if you've lived here for over 20 years like myself, why haven't you stopped by? Cheers!

Different types of teas and coffee. I don't drink beer so I don't know how that is. Very cozy in door or outside nice selection of books. Friendly people
