So happy I found this place. The people are great. The space is welcoming. The pastries are bomb. The tea selection is top shelf. The coffee I had was just right. A gem. No pics because I ate them that fast.

Staff is okay. Food and beverages are awesome 5 stars!!! But to my surprise for the past few days I have been craving smoothies and all of sudden they don’t make smoothies because the worker said they don’t make those —which is soo weird that’s my reason for my 1 star. I have been ordering from Ateaz for so long since they opened all along with my coworkers and I know the menu. I just bought a smoothie few days ago with a different staff lol. The menu still indicates to sell smoothies so I don’t understand why this new girl says they don’t offer it.

First- their pandemic closing hours is 9pm not 10pm! Unfortunately I was forced to give this place 1 star or else this wouldn't post. My bf and I wanted to try a local cafe one night and saw great reviews. We went and were denied service. The front girls told us they started the dishwasher and weren't making anymore drinks. They were not closed. We walked half an hour from home for no reason. Why stay open if you aren't going to be serving drinks for customers? The second time we planned to go we called prior. They told us to come before 830pm that they begin the dishwasher. Again- they close at 9pm... Google still shows 10pm but because of Covid-19 they close at 9pm... We got there prior to 830pm and they had already started the dishwasher. She explained how she couldn't make us drinks. I was upset and told her how we were denied already 2 times and they still have 30 minutes until closing... She told us she could make our drinks but without espresso (what's the point). She made it and we paid full price for watered down drinks. These are Starbucks priced items ($5 and up for smalls...) I asked her what the managers name was and she said they had none. I asked the owners name and she said Gary. This was the worst experience ever. Two times. I had to fight the 2nd time just to get a damn frappe on a nice fall night. It was lightly drizzling and she explained that no customers come because the weather is "terrible" and they start the dishwasher earlier....Why keep the doors open?! I still don't get it. She said next time come at 815pm.. I COULDNT BELIEVE IT. 45 minutes prior to closing.. Imagine that? Doors open for 45 minutes to tell each customer "Sorry, no service, we began our dishwasher"... I used to be a waitress and I understand you want to run home at the exact closing time... but it's not like that... We would stay open and serve drinks and food until CLOSING. Not 10 minutes prior and DEFINITELY not 45 minutes prior to closing. It was sad to think such a highly rated cafe gave me these 2 bad experiences. It's definitely bad business and horrible to the community that I can't build a nice relationship with a local coffee shop.

I had been wanting to try this place for a long time and I finally did and it was great. Their coffee is excellent, regular brew, I have to try their espresso to see further. They also had a great selection of loose leaf tea to take home. Will definitely be stopping by many times now.

I recently moved back to Queens and it is one of my new favorite places. I come here at least once a week for a friendly face (Gigi is one of the few), good cup of tea or coffee depending on my mood and to get work done. Their delicious display of cakes from Martha's Bakery are always tempting. The atmosphere is great to get work done and to organize your life (lol, at least for me). I highly recommend visiting Ateaz.

Nice atmosphere! The service is quick and the employees are very friendly. The coffee is amazing and there are a wide variety of teas. I use to go to starbucks for coffee and to get assignments done, but this place is far better.

The girl behind the counter with tattoos is very rude and needs to learn how to treat customers and delivery drivers as well
I was there having coffee and I see her how to tell people to go outside. Take your business somewhere Else where you don’t have to hear counter people yelling and fighting with customers .
The place is not clean at all and the counter girls don’t wear gloves while handling your food
Ps: I found hair in my cake.

Organic coffee is a rare find and its delicious here! Pare it with a NY exclusive cheese Danish and you'll be in heaven! (well, almost!)

Ateaz opened here and the crowd went wild. I have made it my second home. The manager and staff are welcoming and the choices you have for coffee or tea are numerous. I am finicky and Gary, the manager, has actually made a special blend for me combining various coffees. They don't rush you and it's a wonderful place to recharge. I love the fruit tarts.
