Very unique local place. They have outdoor and indoor seating, and upstairs is a music school (im pretty sure anyway). They sell finger lakes coffee both to brew at home and you can get a cup there as well. Also lots of healthy snack options. Highly recommend. My only complaint is the location but sometimes even inconvenience can be managed with good service.

You won't find a more cozy atmosphere and family-like staff than at New Roots. The Finger Lakes coffee they serve is AMAZING. They always have fun flavors readily available (try the Rainforest Crunch and Jamaican Me Crazy). Their house blend is equally delicious. Good prices, LOVELY service, quiet and quaint. Also has a loyalty program, which I love.

The place
Was in Rochester for a visit and found this cool little coffee shop off Ridge Rd and had to stop. It looks like a house that was converted into a coffee shop. They had plenty of room actually rooms. They have several small rooms where you can sit and enjoy coffee. I love they have local kids art all over the walls. Great way to support the local area and the arts.
The staff
I don't remember their names but they they very gracious at helping me pick a latte. They have a huge number of choices of flavors to pick from. Top notch customer service for every question I asked. It was also nice seeing they knew a few people who came in by name which shows people come her often.
The coffee
I ordered a iced Caramel latte which was great. So many times places put way to much sugar in their latte's which I hate. This had a great balance of coffee to caramel.
The verdict
I would definitely love to come back try more of their menu especially some of nice looking baked goods and food options I saw!

Love this place. My wife and I are one of the first people to visit when they opened. They make great lattes and specialty drinks and it is a fun little coffee shop to hang out in. The baristas are great. They have allergy friendly choices and gluten free bagels and such. Have a cool club that you pay one price and get unlimited free coffee or tee for a year. Great value for local regular coffee drinkers.

Came in on the Sunday before labor day to try the cafe out. They have a nice offering of coffees, sandwiches, soups and snacks. It has a few different rooms in it if you want to be in the open. I had the iced coffee and English muffin and it was good. The girl at the register was very nice. I will be back.

Expensive. Over $3.00 for a cup of coffee. Place is small but cozy. Okay to try out, if you haven't been there before. Nice deck.

This is the best Lebanese/Mediterranean food in Rochester!

This is a cute place with decent coffee but the food is a bit lackluster. We tried a breakfast sandwich and a panini and they had skimpy filling and no flavor. We didn't finish them. I would probably go back for drinks and to hang out on their nice deck, but I wouldn't eat there.

The coffee is great, but that's the least worthy reason to visit! Newer to this part of Rochester, I've spent a couple of months looking for a place to crash and let my creative juices flow; well I've found it at last. The atmosphere feels like a home where kids were always told to pursue their dreams and art and music reigned supreme. Totally comfortable, vibrant, and warm.

This is a cute coffee shop with a comfy atmosphere. There is a ramp, but it's a bit hidden. If you need ramp access, park in the accessible spot in the front - when facing the building the ramp is on the left side. It's not immediately noticeable, but it's definitely there and useable!
The barista was friendly and the coffee selection was good, though they were out of cold brew. I enjoyed the outdoor seating area.
