Wow, I was not expecting the food to be so amazing! We had the Mexican Birria sandwich and the B.L.A.T sandwich. The mexican birria was very unique; the dipping sauce had shredded beef and cilantro (and something else) that elevated the sandwich although you didn’t need to dip it to enjoy the combination of flavors of the birria beef and the onions and cheese… The BLAT had a very smoky, caramelized maple flavored bacon, and the bacon slabs were thick enough to enjoy the taste thoroughly. The mix of the bacon, avocado and the other ingredients was like an explosion of flavors, all of which complemented each other. We also had coffee - a cappuccino and an americano. You can taste that the beans were carefully selected and the coffee was properly made. The vibe of the Garden City location is very inviting, whether you are working, studying, hanging out with friends or with family. Very bright, good decor, reminds me of cafes in NYC, but more spacious. Definitely recommend and will return.

Everything tastes fresh and delicious. (But you might have to wait a bit for them to prepare it) Coffee is high quality and not bitter at all. Staff is friendly and helpful! Right now I'm loving the Chicken Burrata Sandwich and the Breakfast Sandwich.

If you're looking to get a coffee and sit down for a while, this is more like a 4 star location, because you get some of your value back in the ambiance. It's a really beautiful and clean place.
If you're looking to grab coffee and go, this is a 2 star location, because the coffee and food are overpriced based on their quality.
If you're looking for croissants, look elsewhere.

my friends and I went here like we do every week and this has never been a problem but all of a sudden they changed there rules…. we all always either have a Starbucks drink or dunkin drink or tcby and we go to for five and get a bakery item today there were two dunkin drinks and a tcby and my friend bought a bakery item (mind you they r overpriced 7 dollar cookies….) we go sit down like usual and the worker tells us we are not allowed to have outside drinks anymore and that we have to leave….. we say even though she purchased a bakery item and he said yes you can’t stay. Like excuse me we purchased something from your store and you’re telling me we can’t sit down and eat it…. honestly so rude and it’s literally js because we are not adults. For five change ur rules.

The coffee is great from this place, but a little pricey. They do have a punch card where you get a free coffee after your 10th purchase which does help a little. I think of this as my hard earned treat for the week!

Not a good first time experience. First; ordered plain coffee. Was not informed that there was a charge for half n half. Then they were stingy with it and I didn’t want to get charged again for more half n half. That’s not the worst part. Ordered a breakfast sandwich. Did not receive a table number and was not aware that I needed one. Got tired of waiting so I inquired and was told “they’ll find you”. How are they going to find me? After 40 min we asked about our order and the guy figured out it was our order. We had an appointment so we asked to get it wrapped to go. Took another 10 min. Don’t come here unless you have a couple of hours to spare.

Boo hoo hoo you couldn’t drink your coffee you brought in from another restaurant while you ate a cinnamon bun! Does that other place pay the rent here? The electric? The insurance? No they don’t so why don’t you just support the store you are in or don’t go at all? I’m so sick of people thinking they know everything about small business. I have been in this store many times since it opening and LOVE IT. The owner is so nice and hospital and I’ve personally had him support my own business right down the block bringing his whole staff in one night, and he couldn’t have been more generous and kind. So before everyone starts cyber bashing the new store or the manager take a minute to give an honest rake on the people and store ....and just don’t want because you didn’t get your way. Keep up the great work 45 and welcome to Garden City I’ll come there over Starbucks Sunday of the week

Coffee is very very average and the prices are very very astronomical. $20 for a minuscule and very bitter flat white and an iced matcha. Their listed prices are also incorrect, and they don’t list the up charges for the oat milk or other modifications. Their prices are even higher than those for coffee in NYC…and it wasn’t even good. Flat white was undrinkable…won’t be back.

I went in for whole bean coffee so I can make espresso at home. Got the Mott Espresso blend. While there’s no roast date on the bag, it tastes as fresh (less than 2 weeks old) as the knowledgeable barista said. And it’s an excellent dark roast. Plenty of nutty chocolatey sweetness, nice crema. No hint of ash in the finish or aftertaste. A great change from the light-medium roast I’ve been using (StumpTown’s HairBender - a delicious citrus-y cup!).

If you’re making your own with this blend, pull the shot at about 193 degrees.

staff was kind of rude when i was doing work there got mad that i did not have a coffee on my table when i was doing work however i did have a coffee and i spilled half of it and had to throw the rest away. when they approached me they side that i did not buy anything and i should "hurry up" and buy something so i dont have to leave my table. it was a very very rude encounter and then continued staring at me which was very uncomfortable.
